Good question, Real Madrid has something to do with football? And deal is probably employment? And officially means it has been brought to public. Sign mean agreeing on contract. But who is Loris Karius?

Don't know if genuinely clueless or the king of sarcasm, so I won't say anything. Obviously the title is a joke, but not as much of a joke as this goalkeeper..

I feel sorry for the lad. And for his team, naturally.

I feel sorry for his defence who played extremely well most of the game, for him to then gift Real Madrid not one, but two goals. Genuinely think it might just be the worst performance of one single player in a Champions League final in history.

That was the only goal where he is not 100% at fault. Yeah, had he been a better goalkeeper he might've been able to reach it and push it out, but he isn't. Also, you can't really take away from Bale's goal, it was incredible.

That goal deserved to win any Champions League final.
Worth watching the 90 mins of football just for that moment.
Considering the crossed was slightly deflected and it already some spin on it. So to get the overhead kick with enough control enough power to loop into the goal was exceptional. I personally don't think any goalkeeper in the world would have been able to stop it.
Now if only my team Spurs had reached the final, we would have beaten them :P

Not even 2 goalkeepers could have saved that 2nd goal. First, even if he had known Bale was going to attempt a flying kick like that one, the direction it will take is unpredictable (goalkeeper perspective). If you add the fact nobody was expecting it and it was directed to a side of the goal (far from the keeper position) then it is clear he could have never stopped it.

I remember back in the day when I was a goalkeeper (for more than 5 years by that time) I got scored by a flying kick from outside the area (directed to the right angle). I was expecting it and made an insane effort to stop it but it was useless because you never know of it's gonna go to the right or the left until it leaves the striker. If the shot has certain speed then it's really difficult.

Just my two cents. Of course 1st and 3rd goal are unforgivable. Specially 3rd one for a professional keeper in an important match. But after the 1st and 2nd he had totally lost confidence

There's obviously some kind of joke here, but, well, I've just realized that I don't know who this guy is, what's currently going on with Real - or anything about actual modern football, really. I'm getting terribly old and boring :(

Your mental sanity is safe, believe me, you don't want to know who this guy is. I felt physically sick watching him play. (goalkeeper for Liverpool btw)

I'm so sorry for Liverpool. Ramos is an old shark and I'm pretty sure he had the intention to harm Salah.
I didn't even saw the first mistake from Karius (was doing some snacks).
You can bet Navas could stop that first goal from Bale (or at least have a better reaction).
Liverpool was looking for a solid keeper anyway. Maybe Navas? since Madrid want Buffon or Man.U. goalie.

I mean, he was laughing after he dislocated Salah's shoulder, so pretty much yeah.

Real won the match the moment Salah went off and the momentum changed. Karius gifted the goal that made the match more open. Bale's goal deserved to win a champions league final. The third goal was laughable though.

If you cant beat them, foul them I suppose. Its what Ramos does and he gets away with it a lot.

That's not entirely true, Liverpool was still dangerous for most of the game. I think they could've taken it to extra time if Karius wasn't a crap goalkeeper and didn't ruin the game for them. In extra time anything could've happened.

For me, I always felt Real had control of the game once Bale scored. Didn't really feel Liverpool would score but I suppose if it was still 2-1 then anything could have happened in the last 5-10 mintues.

Ulreich and now Karius, and all these mistakes in the games against Real. And again doubtful judgments. I don't want to seem excessively suspicious, but it's not funny anymore.

Karius is leaving for sure. Defender Reese went to Rome after that mistake in 2008 semifinals against Chelsea.
Oh well...

Liverpool always has bad goalkeepers, it's probably a tradition. It will be insulting, if also Salah goes to Real at summer.

Yup, as a RM fan i can't stand this guy and think he did is on purpose. I feel sorry for Karius even more than i felt for Ulreich in semi-finals.

If Karius doesn't want to have a change by himself, Klopp has much to do to get him focused again. Poor guy!

I doubt Karius will get another chance, after this no Liverpool supporter will back him up any time soon. He will just have to go and try and restart his career somewhere else I imagine.

Though it was the CL final, it's just one match. He had a bad day. Of course there will be "supporters" who will boo him. But Klopp won't dismiss him due to this. Either Karius leaves by own motivation or he'll have to regain all the trust he lost today step by step.
