Do you want this page added to the navigation?
Why would we say no to a "feature" ? It's awesome.

+1 for removing group giveaways (i didn't click that for a long time)
And for recommended it would be nice to set as start page, i see some game that i like but don't have them in wishlist. But i would still check wishlist page.
Second i think we(me, don't know for others) need page numbers at top too (with last page number)
Sorry Archi for hijaking i wanted to write +1 but this came to my mind :)

-1 because a majority of users (myself included) aren't involved in such groups

It shows me some games that I already have and some games that I ain't interested in, but still, it's a very good feature. :)

Top... How many actually are these? Or are they just ordered from all giveaways and not filtered? Regardless hmm, nice feature, I like the recommends, however the times remaining order maybe? Looks very confusing. Still yes for poll, would like something like this.

change the numbers to your preference (:

What is this witchcraft? And a search by wishlist?
Is this documented somewhere? Are there more of these?
edit: whitelisted cause this is like the most useful info I have seen in a long time, such a time saver!

it shows many Half Life giveaways to me while this is clearly a game i am not intended to get
generally speaking, i don't tend to follow suggestions, more importantly when they are about games (like the ones Steam does). So, i believe that the group filter and the lvl filters are more than enough for me.

I can't vote. I'm indifferent to this, but thanks for your support.
Can I suggest something? It would be good to have a filter by Linux games.
I have to check every game if it has a TUX version because I don't like to enter Windows only giveaways.
If we had a Linux filter, this task would be much easier for Linux users!

Hmm... Personally, I'd prefer something a bit more... customisable.
Right now, we don't know what these "different game attributes" are, or how they're found. Is it like, taking our steam library, searching for popular tags (e.g RPG) then ordering the games based on the total number of games matching a particular tag? Or multiple tags?
So, lets say I have 63 [RPG] tags, and 33 [FPS] tags in my library. A game meeting BOTH those tags is more likely to then show up higher in the recommended listings? Even more so, if taking into account a [Open World] tag, wherein the higher the matching popular tags, the higher the game is listed?
IF so, then that's quite useful for smaller libraries, but when it comes to collectors, then it becomes much harder to run calculations since they'll collect virtually anything.
Personally, I'd like to be able to search for specific tags taken from the steam store. So I could search for [RPG] & [Open World] games, matching EITHER / ALL, and seeing giveaways for those. Wherein it would become possible to potentially discover new games of interest currently being given away. Sure, we could do this with the store itself, but then we'd just end up with an ever expanding wishlist if taking an interest, versus finding something already running.
In either scenario above it already could be possible to find the "hidden gems" of the gaming world, but the option to customise a search versus something assigned based on potentially inaccurate statistics, offers much more control over the search feature.
Right now, it seems to be doing something similar to my first suggestion, but based on your entered giveaways. I'm seeing a lot of GRID 2 for example, but I literately only have 4 games with the [Racing] tag, and two of those are "Hidden" in my library. I do see a LOT of games that would be [RPG] tagged too, mind, but half my library is RPG's. So, while I do see some [Racing] tags, it'd be nice to only see [Racing] tagged games.
Although, if you did just want a "quick recommendation" then the current page would also be useful.
In essence, the two could work in conjuction with each other as part of an updated search page-- You commented the other day you still need to incorporate the new "min/max" level search into the parent page of the site to allow it to be used without just changing the URL.

Nevermind that as far as finding new games go, if all the top results I'm getting are Fallout 4, followed by Mad Max and similar, that doesn't really serve much of a function past a 'oh, and yeah, these are AAA games everyone has heard of, in case you've forgotten'.
Which isn't to say it might not be useful for someone, but it's hardly going to help me any to just see a list of games that are already extremely visible everywhere else.

I'm not so sure how this works but it could help pin down some "Ultimate Editions" titles which cannot be wishlisted, like Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition.
Edit: Look, I've got Arkham Knight on my wishlist and this giveaway didn't show up in it,

I voted no because I don't see it as being necessary. But if the demand is there, and it doesn't tax the system, then I guess why not?

I have so many games removed (and sufficient games in my inventory) that I don't require any further filters. But others might get a lot of use out of this.
Thank you for your continued work, cg. =)

You know what I'd like, on a somewhat related topic?
The recommended section in sales, to sort wishlisted games by highest discount, rather than the completely batty 'dump your wishlisted games down randomly and see what happens' sorting method it uses now.
That tab is functionally useless (for anyone with more than a few wishlisted games) at the moment, as far as I'm personally able to tell.
As far as the recommended giveaways, I'd rather just have more sorting filters added, that seems more useful.
If you're going for a 'introduce you to new games' approach, you need to also add more filtering options, to that section.
As is, it currently looks like a meaningless way of displaying wishlisted AAA games, based on my results. :P

Awesome, I find some interesting region giveaways +private group giveaways, absolutely amazing, by the way any filter for region locked giveaway? it's works but not really in that way, thanks :D

"it's works but not really in that way, thanks :D"
=> I mean only region locked.

It's not bad... I'd rather like that the "recommended" page filters games I already own though - no point in recommending me games I already have. And I don't want to filter games I already own elsewhere (like on the main giveaways page).

Hi SG, I'm doing a quick test, and trying out a page that recommends giveaways.
http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaways/search?type=recommended
The page orders giveaways based on a number of different game attributes, along with how soon the giveaway is ending. If you have a Steam wishlist configured, then the wishlist page might already have you covered, but if you don't, this might help you to sort though the giveaway list. Test it out above, vote on the poll, and we'll decide whether or not to add the page to the side navigation. Thanks!
