Depends. On the newest Humble, you can tell that the bonuses are bta-only because they have the same green lock icon as the other bta games. Older Humbles would grant bonuses to everyone, but the newer ones usually work like the current one does.

No, for a good while now you don't get the bonus games if you don't pay BTA. You can however increase your amount to get the BTA games. The amount you need to get them is the BTA price at the moment you bought.

Unfortunately, no. (Unless they changed it recently)

That's right. If you paid $1 while the BTA was at $5.30, then you need to pay $4.30 more to unlock the 2nd tier, not matter if the BTA is higher or lower at the time you put the extra amount.
This is why it's best to buy the $1 bundles while the BTA is low if you think there's a chance you'll want to "upgrade" later on.

not really sure, but i'd guess no.
it's probably managed on their side

it depends on which tier they add the games, if they were added to the bta and you only paid the basic no, if they added them to the basic then yes, same if you paid for bta, you'd get the ones they add on the bta tier but not the ones in the extra pay 20 to get(if you paid less obviously)

Only, guess what...they're NEVER added the lower tier.

Why on earth would they reward people who paid as little as they could with more games?

I'm not saying they should, but there are special cases like me who already own most of the games and are 2k faithful customers. I own all 3 Bioshock games, Spec Ops The Line and I'm not really interested in The Bureau. So I just paid the minimum to get The Darkness II. Now, if they put Borderlands GOTY in the BTA tier, I will be kind of disappointed. Especially cause I own Borderlands 2 GOTY. But to pay the higher tier just for the prospect of Borderlands GOTY when I already own Bioshock 2 and Spec Ops The Line? That I just won't do...

It's fine to pay less than the average if you have most of the games in the bundle and only want one. You can increase your pledge later on in the bundle if Borderlands shows up, but $1 buyers don't deserve it for free.

This is true for main bundles and will probably be the case here, but a bonus was once added to the lower tier of a weekly (Bohemia Interactive, Fish Fillets 2 was added for non-BTA), which was particularly unusual seeing as weekly bundles don't usually have bonuses at all.

People abused it so they stopped giving extra games to people who only paid $1.

I usually only pay non bta, and somehow I still got the games from the indie bundles when more games were added, im wondering if this is still the case.
Speaking of humblebundle
