Thank you for the warning. I was going to download that tonight. Guess I'm putting it on hold.

I knew it, this came up when I ran it around the beginning of the sale. My ESET kept warning me and blocking parts of the initial page. I think I'm safe thanks to that, but I was thinking, "WTF, Valve is giving me viruses now?"
For shits and nothing relevant at all, here are some event logs:
HTTP filter archive http://www.thefinalhoursofportal2COMBOBREAKER.com/TFHoP2_assets/companioncube JS/Iframe.BL trojan connection terminated - quarantined
HTTP filter archive http://www.thefinalhoursofportal2COMBOBREAKER.com/TFHoP2_assets/interactive/index.html JS/Iframe.BL trojan connection terminated - quarantined
I added COMBOBREAKER in there to lessen the chance of somebody visiting there before it's cleaned.

Looks like it's back up. Of course, if you opened it within the last 2 weeks and haven't scanned your PC definitely do that now. Microsoft Security Essentials found 2 trojans on my PC in folders with the word [companion cube] in them, so it definitely was infecting people. But if you haven't opened it up yet, it should be safe to do so now.
This wasn't REALLY Valve's fault. The Final Hours was not produced by them, and the servers that were hacked were not owned by them. Still, I purchased the game through Steam and it gave me malware so I hope they at least offer an apology.

Just in case anyone else noticed this and thought it was odd, here's the forum post about what's going on: click
Basically, they hosted the "animate wheatly" function and some other stuff on external websites which the application accessed. One of those websites got hacked and started distributing malware. If you bought it and looked through it at all within the past week or so, it might be a good idea to run a virus / spyware / malware scan. Valve is currently investigating, so hopefully we know the extent of the damage soon
