No, because it would be like this: trader 1, trader 2, trader 3, ......trader 85.

Yeah, that option is very helpful with one of my personal friends, guy is changing his nickname twice a week and avatar also,so hard to keep an eye on everyone :)

Yeah I do. I have 3 types of friend:
1) I know in person and / or are from my country, and we chat and play multi games together
2) I trade with usually
3) I play CS:GO with usually (ppl from other countries)
Other ones I simply delate.
Chat history option would solve this problem of not knowing who is who though....
EDIT: It is a good thing, yeah.

I always give nicknames to all of the people that add me. I'll add notices to people i trade with (like how they behave or if they tried to trick me or something) or to people randomly add me. I want to remember if i had a good time with these people.
People i know from real life get their real names as nickname so i always know who they are even if they change their steamnames.

Some of them change their names and avatars constantly, so yes or I'll lose track (even if I talk to them frequently - I've had to find them again by their URLs before). I'm the "boring" one who won't change their name and always has a Natla avatar. :p
...It was kind of funny when I had no goddamn idea who was messaging me and why they knew anything about me though (until I clicked their profile, of course). lol

Sometimes.
I put nicknames for the people I knew IRL, so I'd remember who they actually are on Steam...
And then I also put nicknames on a few people I play (or used to play) games with a lot who would change their names and/or avatars quite often.

Rarely. Only two or three are nicknamed, but I'm too lazy and have a too big friend list to bother.

I recently did, so that whatever Steam name they choose, I'll still recognise them.

I have good amount of friends, and most of them, I don't remember who, so this month, I started putting nickname, specially because some of them change their username. What about you, do you add nickname to your steam friends? if not, do you think this is a good idea?

most of my steam friends are unknown to me, because i forget them. I might end up removing them until we find a game we can play together
whats your thought on this?
