Yeah, the updates do look promising. I watch KiraTV's youtube videos and he talked about them a few days ago. I am hoping for the best as I really would like to check it out if the feedback is good after launch.
Have you followed Crowfall at all? I've been following the game for the longest time and I was really interested it, but so much has changed. I played the beta recently and it just really felt off in a lot of ways. The launch is about to happen so I'll be checking it out on twitch. I really don't think it's going to have a big player base which it needs, just like any MMORPG. Even if they manage to get streamers with big followings they'll most likely get variety streams that play a bunch of games.

I watch KiraTV too these days :) He started off a little bit whiny for my taste, in his earlier videos. But he's progressing into more informative content for sure. His last vid on New World was a good summary of what has been going on. Seems like the Devs are listening for sure.
Yeah I've followed Crowfall since announcement I think. And even tried some beta-branch (with my old comp). It was not a pleasant experience. Not just because of the lack of hardware, but the game was terrible back then. This was maybe a year ago, or more. Have not tested it since though. I think the usual thing happened: It sounded great on paper, but what I experienced left me dumbfounded.
It feels like they had a good idea a long time ago, but didn't acquire the talent they needed in terms of programmers. And also missed their timeslot in terms of future popularity. I think/know I will still try it.. but I don't think it speaks to me in the long run. If all goes well enough.. I'll most like enjoy New World for a while.. and then jump into Ashes of Creation. ๐ค
"Camelot Unchained" and "Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen" were other prospects, but has fallen way down the drain of hope ^_^

Yup, it sounded awesome on paper but didn't really translate that well. Once of the biggest things that caught my attention was that the whole world was destructible and they went and changed it. I think only buildings can be destroyed now. I had no hardware issues when playing it just felt really clunky and it felt more like something really really early in the beta stage. I'm really shocked it's releasing soon in the state it's in.
Ashes of Creation looks awesome. Besides New World that's the other one I'm interested in. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen I didn't have any interest in so I haven't been following that. I do recall reading something on an article awhile ago that wasn't good, but I can't remember what it was.
Camelot Unchained I was kinda following. I saw their big announcement on youtube for that new game to the Camelot Unchained audience. That was horrible.. I'm really not sure what they were thinking.
How about those awesome games Chronicles of Elyria and Dreamworld? /S They should lock Caspian and those other two frauds up for a long time.

I did not play it myself yet. From the streams I've watched, it seems to have a lot of fidgety goodness for people who enjoy these kind of games. (I'm one of 'em) There's still some way to go according to some reviews out there.. in the deep end. But that goes for any EA game I suppose.
Definitely not a bland title. Seems polished and intricate. Honest and "open" developers from what I've seen. Hope they do well.

I used to =) Played GW 1 as well. And linked that account to GW2 for the perks.
Even bought the oversized monstrosity they call the GW2 Collectors Edition. Resting "neatly" in my bookshelf.
I played an Asura Elementalist called Gloomy Goon. Still have the account, but have not touched it in years for some reason. I did play it heavily during launch, and even managed to get the "Been There Done That" achievement.

Ohhh nice! I'm too intimidated to try ele, maybe one day haha. They have a promotion going right now, they're re-releasing old living world episodes for free (one per week - free for one week only, you would just have to log in and claim them every week there is a new one). You just missed season 2, but they just started season 3 and I believe it will continue through seasons 4 and 5. The third expansion is coming later this year, and if you don't have the 1st expansion that now comes free if you buy the 2nd (Path of Fire). So there is tons to do if you feel like coming back, plus you would have some sweet birthday presents waiting! ๐

It would be probably be quite strange for you, if you're not used to all the mounts and such! I started right after PoF released so I'm (relatively) new. I absolutely fell in love with it, a no-subscription game that handles things way better than WoW did ๐ I wish I had found out about it sooner! I can fully understand how you feel right now because i sit since ~3 years here with a PC without graphic card, so DirectX9 is the max. possible, and when i had, after more then 3 years, enough money together to buy all parts to build me a gaming PC, the prices skyrocket because of Corona -_-

I never really understood the limit / max potential to on-board graphics. I basically thought of it as: I install Windows, then I install drivers for my gfx card. Never tried to game on those ground-level basics. Hope you can find a decent deal, as I luckily did. Patience was my mistress =) And she tempted me more than once.
It's a shame what the Computing market has become.. But, I don't think it's all because of "Corona". And us gamers are not the only ones to "suffer". I'll leave a little Semi-DeepDive here. Some good info into the situation we are facing.
