What do you think of the idea to show the Metascore of each game right in the giveaway list? Alternatively, it could also be viewed on the site of the giveaway. The SteamGiftsPlus addon could then be updated to filter by Metascore.

It would also be nice if the direct link to the Steam page of a game would be displayed directly in the giveaway list.

Regards... ;)

You... actually search for specific games?

Also I'm a bit skeptical, Metascores are overrated.

I meant the giveaway list, not the search results...
So I just edited it ;)

I only want the full wishlist support on SG+, no other changes needed. :)

There has to be a way to make this happen.

The search function is your friend. ;) At least a direct Steam link is already added. Clicky

I too want the measurements of the actress in some movies listed next to it, not just the views and rating.

And I think metascore is overated.

Hate metascores. Please don't do this. Metascore needs to die.

Why would anybody hate on metacritic? Sure, the usual number shown comes from the critic reviews which can be weighted/bought out in typical reviewer manner, but don't overlook how useful the user reviews can be. They can be even more blindly biased, but if you dare to click through the reviews for a few minutes you will often find honest reviews from more level-headed people. Even then you can disregard their score marks and look at the content of their posts to determine whether you're likely to enjoy a game or not. For instance, with a little searching you can see what level of screamers a horror game resorts to, whether or not you can expect compatibility issues with your gamepad, or if a game seems to have your AMD card.

Some people would only be satisfied with a psychic review system that outright tells you "you will like/dislike this game", but for the rest of us willing to take a minute or two to weigh things up? We can make up our own mind. The added steps of digging up the metacritic pages while looking through the giveaways can slow things down a little, is all. Some of us don't apply for everything that comes up, preferring to only join giveaways we think we'll like. Some kind of link to common rating indexes and the steam page would make things easier.

I really don't understand why people would be so opposed to this.

User reviews on Metacritic, useful? Come now.

You're right, people who actually played the game for the sake of entertainment couldn't POSSIBLY have any insight on whether or not you would find it enjoyable or not!

User score generally is 1 or 10 spams from fanbys/haters, like the Steam forums of the games where the middle ground is seen as heresy.

For games that get little press coverage (like Guns of Icarus Online and Analogue: A Hate story), I find that the user scores are much more reliable than the critic scores. The user reviews are especially helpful when deciding whether a game is worth your time or not.

In general, I trust the user scores more than the critic scores unless 4chan or reddit or some other site organized a raid or something.
