Hi, I have 21 years old and my greatest achievement 'til now was being father. (Yeah, I'm young, IK.)

Edit: Wow guys I'm really affected with some stories. I'm happy readin' this. If you have some free time, read it also.

Edit2: Guys, I'm not talking about just f#$king a girl and wow: she's pregnant. I'm talking about being a good and present father. See him smile for me refreshes my soul. Who are/have good parents knows what I'm talking about :D

20, can't decide between:

  • ace-ing my A-levels and getting into the uni I wanted
  • getting gold as a team at a school level national sports event (orienteering)
  • getting silver as a team at university level national sports event (canoe polo)

That shows what useless things they teach people in school. Is someone going to tell him to name every country or he will get murdered? I think not.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Actually he learned what he knows basically by himself. He's in Pre-K, so he isn't learning a lot of school stuff yet anyways. And we live in a country that isn't that oppressive to its people.
And of course no one will tell him that, because they would be doing so with their own last breath.

My greatest achievement is hiding from my wife the fact that I gift games to total strangers.

:)

Other than this, I think that my greatest achievement has been to do stuff I find interesting for most of my life. Kind of went down the drain with the kids, unfortunately.

Last thing, I'm proud of getting a story published in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.

jk about that steam collection part xD if there's an achievement in it is that I defined priorities for my life, and saving money was one of them. totally serious on the friendships one though xD

My greatest achievement is the fact that I have managed to keep true for my life goals.
Being on track at this point in my life, & hopefully having a wife, children, reasonably well-paying job & a nice 2-3 story home by the time I'm 26-30 years old.

32 - Masters degree, living abroad, solo travel to a lot of places, running a marathon, dunno....try and set myself lots of targets.

Edit: Had a re-think. Maybe what I now consider my biggest achievement could potentially be my biggest failure - not settling down in a normal job with a wife and kids in my home country.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

If you have enjoyed it, surely it is an achievement rather than a failure? Why be boring / uniform with everyone else in the born-school-university-job-marry-kids-more job-die life pattern?

Break the mould, get out and experience life as you want to.

Thank god I saw this!! I was starting to think I was the oldest fart on here for a second until I came across your post...

45, former Marine (Gulf War), married 20 years this year, three beautiful daughters, saved two children and one grown man from choking, rescued an entire family (plus puppy) and a young teen driver after some jackhole laid railroad ties across three lanes of an expressway, still gaming, but I have to pick one:

Married to the same woman 20 years with 3 beautiful & smart daughters. Still more than one, but whatcha gonna do...
