Question about Mass Effect

Merry Christmas to you guys :)
I was wondering if Mass Effect 1/2 has any region restriction on steam, my friend in the US says the ME franchise for him now is $10, for me the second game itself is $10 and the bundle costs more than buying both games individually so I was wondering if it will work for him to gift me the bundle in exchange for $10 or if it'll not run for me that way
