Alright, so I thought I'd take a peek into my purchase history on Steam (never do this unless you want to get sad) and make a list of all the games I have bought with my hard earned money and have never played. After I was done with Steam, I did the same for GOG, Origin, and Humble. And this list is LONG. I definitely don't need more games right now.

However, when I was doing the Humble list, I noticed that I only cared about maybe 3 games per month on the Humble Monthly package. I would subscribe for the main game and the rest was just a bonus in my eyes. However, this month is the Witness and I'm not a huge fan of puzzle games like this. But I don't want to lose out on the bonus games, some of which gets played quite regularly.

So, SG guys, what should I do?

Look, i got The Witness on the Freedom Bundle and i'm probably gonna give it away here, but for 11 bucks; you get a real profit and some awesome games (Like when i got ABZÜ and i freaked out like a little girl)

Exactly, me and my daughter loved Abzu. She played and I watched/helped. It was a great time. I think the safe solution is to give it another month and see. But I'm really on the fence.

Wish I could get it to run on my machine but it's just black screen...

It's pretty demanding, yet a beautiful experience.

Like YumoS said, its a gamble but if the game alone is worth 12 bucks go ahead.

It makes sense to get it as if you give away The Witness you would make someone soooo happy, you happy cuz of bonus GAs, and help you get to level 6 faster....

A win,win, win....

Its a gamble. You can get awesome games you want or you get only bad games you hate and will never play. its up to you to to consider if its worth it. For me personally: i dont buy monthly if the revealed game has no value for me. But if the game alone is worth the 12 dollars its good and i will grab it.

give away whatever you don't like, or trade them for games you want / csgo keys (you can later use keys to trade games or turn them into steam wallet).

or just unsubscribe and buy/trade individually each game you like from bundles. ┐(´ー`)┌

If you will regret for buying some games you don't play, you should not subscribe.

If you will miss that 12$, then don't buy it. If you're okay at buying let's say 1-2 games of your liking for this price, getting some (likely) quality games to giveaway, then keep on the subscription. If I would have a proper, trustworthy income I wouldn't even turn off the subscription because someone will be happy - either me with a game, or the giveaway's winner :)

Go out for dinner with that money.

My decision would be - I don't like early unlock, I don't buy Monthly. Unless I'd have money and would buy it for giveaways but in such case I'd be yearly subscriber.

The Monthly is one of the few cases where usually you can balance it out even if it doesn't appeal to you when revealed, about half of it usually sells quite decently if you're not interested in those. The Witness alone can easily be sold for 3-4 keys or $5-7 PP at the very least so you'd be paying $1 or less per extra game. So if you're willing to spend some time trading I'd say go for it

Well, how much is $12 really worth to you?

Depending on the amount of disposable income you have, $12 could be something you would never spend frivolously, or something you would easily spend in a few days on snacks and coffee.

With Humble Bundles often giving ridiculous value for money, it's easy to lose perspective - but actually, spending $12 a month on games is extremely frugal - for most budgets, at least!

Just curious that now the HB monthly games are live-- did you get it? Are you happy/sad you did or didnt get it?

I let it roll. I can afford $12 and, $12 for The Witness was a good deal. My daughter and I are now playing through that together solving puzzles. Kinda disappointed with the rest of the bundle but that's the way it is. This next month is a definite for me tho, I've been wanting to try Dirt.

I don't think you should quit, you can get some genuinely good deals from the monthly for a good price. Plus, it's only $12. Don't let one of the monthlies get you down, the next month could be amazing. If you really don't want to spend the $12 though, and you will miss that money more than the games, then yeah, you might want to stop.
