Well if it is a well paying job you ll succeed in your target. If not then you may need to search again. Best thing you can do (i think) is while working to casually check the market, without stress and worries.
IF you stumble upon something you actually like make a move for it and see what happens.
I hate my work too but I am only to blame because I dont have neither experience nor a degree...
So learn, learn learn what you can and hope for the best!

something is better then nothing I start form small jobs then it get better and better every 2 years form 7$ to 10.50 then to 13 $ / hours was good change to me so keep what you get and do the job you might get better jobs sooner then you think ... :)

After quitting grad school, had two years of reflection and waste.
Got a new job starting in December. Starting a new round of endless ennui, but better than being unemployed.
