I dont like playing stealth based games such ex Deus Ex or Hitman Absolution. It is so boring, slow and annoying when you trying not to get caught. When you get caught everything gets worse. I find people like these types of games, and when I try to play I can not tolerate more than ten minutes.
What is your opinion?

The best game ever for me is Metal Gear Solid... Still i can't enjoy Deus Ex, Hitman or Splinter Cell.. So although i love one stealth game i can't say i love the genre.

I used to hate them, but i guess ive learned to find enjoyment... i find it a kind of grinning pleasure to sneak around dopey AI guards and then duck out and slit their throats before hiding their corpses on the top of a bookshelf, before disappearing back into the shadows. But I just cant do the pure stealth games. I like to be able to sprinkle stealth in between my bloody violent murders, and the ability to easily dispatch enemies if my half-ass stealthing fails. Yeah i guess i just find stealth in being able to be sneaky when I choose, but Im with you on the games that demand it 100% of the time, and then punish you by making progress super hard or impossible when it all goes wrong.

I'm used to not being noticed so it's only natural I like them XD

I especially like those where you have to steal things like Thief (naturally) and Styx.

I can play games like the newer Deus ex but i hate when you feel forced into waiting stealth gameplay. That is one of the reasons why i probably won't get 100% achievements done in Deus ex mankind divided.

Why don't you play - and dedicate your energy in general - to something you like, instead? :)

I don't mind Hitman...since most of the time you can say the hell with it and start blasting away. Pure stealth is just boring to me. It's like a turn based strategy game, but more work )although less reading). At least with Turn I can play with one hand..errr.....anyway.
Strangely enough though...I really enjoyed Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go (on my phone), played a little of Deus Ex Go and I'm not diggin' it as much as the others.

The thing that annoys me even more than the not being seen thing, it's the randomness some use. You can't just avoid bad guys, you have to avoid them at the right time in the right order. Haaaaaaate that.

Force yourself to play one of those games for many hours, you can end up liking the genre. Anyway you can not say you hate a game if you only play it for a few minutes.

Hitman Blood Money 2 is one of my favorite games. Absolution is alright.
I noticed when playing fallout or Skyrim that stealth is my choice of completing missions

i love them.

if you can avoid getting spotted they are easier than games with direct approaches.
of course, unless the mechanics are flawed or crap, then you just shoot everyone and run.

I don't care for stealth games either but thats just because I'm bad at them. I think it stems from the fact that i'm seriously impatient.

I used to be the same, but somehow I learned to be patient in stealth games (in other games I'm still very impatient (that's also why I tend to play on max speed if there is an option available to change speed)).

I do enjoy them, but I also like going all out action hero style once in a while too. It's all about balance

I like them. It's pretty satisfying to complete a mission without ever being spotted by enemies. However I do prefer the ones where there is also the option to just go all guns blazing (Sniper Elite for example).

Here's the thing, and it confuses me too: I don't like stealth games either, but in games like Fallout/Elder Scrolls, or actually any game where sneaking up on enemies has any benefit at all, I play in stealth mode, sneaking around and trying not to be seen. XD

(But really, I think it's because in stealth games, being caught means you failed; in other games, it only means you have to fight.)

I like some stealth games. Let's put this into perspective of both pacing and interactivity.

Thief series? Hate it all but Deadly Shadows because it's a lot faster paced and you can do a lot more than stand in a corner for an hour waiting for the guard route to reset.

Games like, for example, Deus Ex(specifically the original)? Great, because it's both fast paced and very interactive(e.g., stealth kills, being able to keep a good pace between killing enemies and stealthing).

I beat the first Thief and got to the last level of Thief 2 but didn't beat it. Both were excruciatingly painful in both pacing and how interactive it was, because most of the gameplay is essentially hiding in shadows or snail-pace crawling through levels but still alerting guards(who, in my opinion, are difficult to kill in combat) . I HATE Stealth games that are way too punishing and difficult. The original Deus Ex while pretty damn difficult to stealth but wasn't as punishing or irritating as the original Thief series.

I also remember playing Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and that was pretty damn irritating but also very fun.

I hate them too ┴┬┴─( Ν‘Β° ΝœΚ–β”œβ”¬β”΄β”¬ on a serious note you can always try to take a break in between objectives (if there's any), or if you end hating them more, don't force yourself because you will end very frustrated. Remember Video games are for fun ┬┴┬┴─ο½₯Ο‰ο½₯)οΎ‰β”œβ”¬β”΄β”¬β”΄

I love it. You have to concentrate more, use your brain more, and make strategies for your approach. You can still be active and take down enemies, it's just a lot more than just being able to aim.
