about my giveaways entered count?

A shame your participation outside of entering and winning stuff is rather poor in comparison. But at least your comments are more than your wins, that is something.

I don't know if you are talking about my forum activity or contribution.

If it's the first, I do check the forums from time to time, I just don't make a habit to post random posts. I like to post something meaningful.

If it's the second, I'm currently a college student and I'm not exactly rolling in cash. When I get a job, I will start to post giveaways as I have a couple of developers that I would like to support.

I started without giveaways myself, so I won't fault you much on that, though see if you can find a way to balance it with your wins a bit better.

I just think if someone can spend enough time here to enter hundreds or thousands of giveaways, they can spend a bit of time in the forum chatting with the community. That I find lacking on your profile. Even one post a day would have been a vast boost while taking little time. There are many interesting topics and users here.

I'm a university student. I never had any income and i'm helping out at home during the summers because it's pretty expensive for my parents to have three children attending medical and law school. i rather eat cheap food so i can buy a few gifts each month to give away.

Very noble of you. In your situation I would rather spend all my money on my family rather than giving gifts to random people on the internet.

we are not starving... you don't get the point.
But like every college student like you who have no income gets money from somewhere like parents. You either save some of this money to give away games and contribute to the community you get a lot of gifts from anyway. Games are not the expensive after all. Buying some stuff on sales is pretty easy. Bundles nowadays offer 4-5 games for just one dollar.
But it's all up to you.

This may sound silly to you but my parents don't like when I buy games. And if I told them I buy games (even for 1$) to giveaway to random people on the internet just because of good karma they would think I'm crazy!

I would rather gift back with my own money. Money that I have earned with own hard work. And I will, once I finish my studies and get a job.

if you are a college student you are supposed to be old enough to make your own decisions.
you don't have to give away for good karma. That is what donation is for. You give away because you appreciate the kindness of others who also give away games. If it wasn't for that we would be here for free games.

All the money i am using for buying games is the money i made myself. I'm working in the fields from 5am to 5pm for two months each summer. I start before the other workers and finish later. And i only get money for working two days. Because i'm basically helping out my parents and they get most of profit i'm making. I should be making $750 each year but i only get $50 if any.

Too many excuses. You don't have to make giveaways but stop telling us that you want to make some but you are unable to afford any game at all.

I can't afford at the moment either.. no income.. for almost one year now.. x3
But I am sure.. I'll stop entering giveaways if my wins get close to the amount of giveaways as well

Why would you do that?

And that is my decision! I'm sorry, but there are things that I don't wish to talk about. If I could tell you the whole story I would, but it's too painful for me. I come to the internet to have fun, not worry myself about stuff that's happening in real life.

Please try to understand, I'm not in this position by choice. My hand are tied, and there is nothing I can do about that other than to wait until the situation is resolved.

Wow 9000+ entries and just one GA of your own, such a leecher man :v

EDIT: Also I just noticed, the game that you gave... wasn't that the exact same game that you won around that time?? If that's the case you are not supposed to do that, not cool.

He knows because he checked my profile. My profile is public and anyone can see what games I have.

About the leecher thing, please read my reply to DeltaBlade bellow.

Let me explain that VVVV thing. I won a copy of VVVV here and then an awesome friend decided to gift me a Humble Bundle. Since I already had VVVV and he didn't want it, I posted it here.

No need to be rude.

I never said I'm proud of it, I'm ashamed of it.

My country was hit by massive floods, if I have to choose where my money goes then it will be to the flood victims who lost everything.

My family is not in a very good financial situations and there are things happening that I don't wish to speak off. Please don't accuse someone if you don't know what situation they are in.

I'm going to give back when I get a job and my own income, and that's a promise.

Your country had floods for over a year now? I dont mind leeching to be honest, if you dont have the money you dont have the money but to use massive floods as an excuse is just plain cheap and dirty. You should have sticked to the "Im a poor student" part.

I do however wish you and your family the best of luck with handling the rough times.

No, it happened last week, but I'm sure with the state of my country it will take more then 1 year to fix all the damage. That wasn't meant to be an excuse, I'm just saying that there are things that are more important to me right now.

I repeat, I never said I'm not going to give back. I will because it's not who I am to simply take something and not give something back in return. I'm just not in a financial situation (because of family issues that I don't wish to speak off) to do it now, I need all the money I can get.

You seem like an alright kid, also too young to have your own money to buy games to give away so I withdraw my comment. I can be a bit grumpy at times. I'm not coming from a rich background either so I understand.

And no, I'm not a kid, I'm actually 21. I just know how to recognize priorities and Steamgifts is not on the list right now. But it will be, and that's a promise.

You don't need to "give back". Only make giveaways if you want to and it makes you feel good. Don't feel obliged because someone told you, there's no rule dictating that you must. :)

It says that it's over 8000!

But, from your actual number and implication, you are probably don't know about the correct phrase.

Or watch Dragon Ball Kai, which follows the manga exactly (no filler, great pacing and everything as Toriyama intended). It's airing the Buu saga now, so almost done too.

No way. Dragon Ball Kai is a piece of crap that should have never happened to Dragon Ball.

are you thinking GT?

Not at all. I'm just biased and I love the original too much to give Kai a fighting chance. That's all.

I see.

Well the only downside to it in my opinion is some of the music is slightly different and some of the characters have different voices, due to some deaths of the actors, but that cant really be helped.

I wish theyd do Dragonball instead of Z though. Gotta love how adorably perverted it was.

Yup, Dragon Ball was awesome in that regard. But I really think we don't another version of it, originals will always be the best. There's no way they can top it.

I feel kind of offended (ok, not really; I'm never offended - but it's fun to join in). I get 90 Euros per year. Subtract 20 or so to buy presents for people (parents et cetera). That leaves 70. Doesn't it make much more sense to save up for stuff? I mean, my PC can't run far Cry 3 or Planetary Annihilation, for example. And that's only a PC - what about a home? Sure, that'll be a few years down the line, but still. Not everyone can afford to buy games.

And about the comments, I've said it a few days after becoming active on this site, I dislike the 'thanks' comments (yes, look it up; I registered here ages ago but only did anything with my account after months had passed, at which time I made a topic about this). They're bland, unoriginal, and feel like spam. I'd prefer having someone genuinely thank me, than someone spamming my giveaway with 'thanks', 'thank you', 'thank u', 'thnx', 'ty'... Clearly it's a minority opinion, but still.

I'm in the same boat as you are. Only money I can count on now is coming from parents and relatives. So naturally, I save money for stuff that I really need.

Seeing where my life is currently going, I'm more inclined to save my money. Once I have my own stable income, then I will be able to give back to the community as a true way to say thanks.

Yeah, Ocean and Funanimation decided that 8000 doesn't sound as epic. And I must say that I agree with them, "It's over 9000" just rolls over the though.

Just say it: "Its overrrrrr 9000!!" So nice. xD
