im looking to create a train with the keys that accumulated over the last years including humble ones
issue is that last time HB didnt have that restriction in place so i dont know how to proceed

is there maybe some sort of key check script that can output into a txt file?
HB alone has 7 pages worth of keys and i got dozens if not hundreds more on other stores

To my knowledge it's not possible. You can do what others do and make a note on the giveaway saying "please let me delete this if it doesn't work because the key is old"

I think most people are fine with that.

Only writing that is basically pointless and I personally advice against writing that because either the winner is nice enough to agree to that anyway, or they are not, which won't change by a personally made up 'rule', heck some people may even get annoyed by that message and refuse the deletion thanks to that.

That's why I worded it in a way to make it clear that you're doing a favor by allowing the creator to delete it rather than demanding that you follow a made up rule.

Any time I've won anything that didn't work I was happy to let the creator delete it, so I don't think it's pointless.

It's basically pointless since if someone wasn't going to allow you to delete it, small chance they change their mind because you stated something like that in the giveaway and someone that was already nice enough to agree on a deletion has no use for it since they would agree anyway.

Basically, assholes will be assholes and nice people will be nice people and stating something like that won't change anything about it besides maybe pissing some people off who think that stating that implies you knew there was a 'higher*' chance the key didn't work and made the giveaway anyway

*assuming every key CAN technically be faulty for whatever reason outside your fault (screw up by the website, revoking dev, etc.).

thats fine and all but does that maybe mean i can get a suspension or ban on my steam account if i try giving away games i already own?
cus i went and made a gift link for bastion which i do own and it still gave me the link
i fear that steam might use some sort of strike system that gets you banned if you try giving away too many of these keys

Steam won't give you trouble for overgifting HB links, however I've read some horror stories about HB labeling you as a "trader" and refusing to provide you any support later on (if someone kept the links to some of those SG threads... please do post them). So you might want to reveal the Steam key and use this in the giveaway, rather than using HB gift links.

I might be wrong on that, but I think HB refusing to help you and labeling you as a trader only applies when you admit to creating giveaways/trades with game gift links/keys when communicating with support. Like you shouldn't say "I tried giving this away on SG and the key is already used", but instead "I tried using this key and it's already used".

I suppose it's a bit of a mystery how they decide on this, but personally I wouldn't take the risk to suddenly generate 7 pages of gift links and give them all to as many different persons 👀

He shouldn't make gift links, but just reveal the key and gift that, then there should be no real possible way for them to tell you where those games ended.

Some keys are generated specifically for bundles and in turn labelled as such, redeeming those keys (especially multiple keys over time) would mark you out as a Humble user.

SG support won't enforce the group's rules, all that happens is the group can kick the user if they don't follow the group rules.
