Actually, it was the first LOTR, but I was a little kid and at a summer theatre in the middle of the night, all I remember is Boromir dying (lol) and waking up at 3AM in the hotel room, falling asleep again.

Was released for the Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Wii, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3
It was the last non-Lego video game released by Traveller's Tales

Im pretty sure Traveller's Tales was a developer in one of my old SNES games. Can't remember which one off the top of my head.

More people would look at this thread if you put the "90% off" in the title.

i wonder why the first game is not on steam. maybe licence issues. but i couldn't find any info about being on steam in the past. why would they release the second game but not the first one? weird. and the real question is, will it be convenient to play this game without playing the first one?

Who cares? They are based on the movies, which are based in the books.

Let me give you a more polite answer: Sadly, the whole Narnia franchise has been bungled (not bundled) in the recent commercialization attempts -- both film and game. Yes, the first game was never released on Steam. I think starting with Prince Caspian should be fine if you find it interesting gameplay wise. If you're concerned plot wise, skip the games and just read the books.

What I mean is that you don't really need to watch the first movie or play the game, you can read the second book of the saga, which was pretty enjoyable for me when I was 12. It's not too long, and it's easy to understand.

Digging into the history of the first game (a la Wikipedia), apparently there are some glitches that needed to be patched. Seeing as how these Disney games are just being dumped onto Steam, I don't think they have the effort to fix it, let alone, include the patch.

Not all that bad, if the reviews are to be believed. It seems to be a 6/10 kind of game.

I've read all 7 books and watched the 3 movies. Hope the game lives up to the name.

Got some copies to resell later if I'm bored. If not removed, I can always give it to my friends for their birthday. Not a bad gift.

I wasn't going to, but the prospect of it possibly being removed from Steam (and comparisons to the gameplay of the PS2 LoTR games) sold me on it.
