Hey guys, I just want to tell you that I'm so happy: I am Officially a Youtube partner now! :DDD

Could you give me some recommendations on which of my games should I play/record please? If you do, keep these in mind:

  1. I don't want to record Horror/Scary games yet, because I don't have a FaceCam atm
  2. I want to play some older games. My PC is not a High-End one. Here Are My PC Specs:
    • OS: Windows 7 32bit
    • AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5000+ Processor (2.6GHz)
    • 3GB RAM
    • Nvidia GT 730 2GB DDR3 Graphics Card
    • 1TB HDD (I wrote this to let you know that I don't have SSD)
    • 1280x1024 Maximum Resolution

Thanks In Advance!

P.S.: Unfortunately, I don't have anything to give away at the moment. But if I get something, I'll be sure to make a GA :D (I won't promise it)

I mostly want to play and complete Single-Player games, but if I can find some people to play with, then I would play some multiplayer games too

Yeah, I don't know if you ended it, but when you do, there is a nightmare mode which is really hardcore, and people would love that for sure ;P

CS-GO has some pretty low specs and a wide audience. You could go old school with some titles on GOG.com as well, although I imagine they would have less appeal. I'd look at the steam community and look for games that keep popping up and aren't brand new.

The end of the 90s and the years around 2006 saw a good deal of decent FPS titles. That genre is usually popular and offers plenty enough semi-known titles you can use to broaden viewership.

I agree with this. Unreal tournament, quake counter strike etc. these games shaped modern video games and i don't think i have a more fonder gaming memory than playing unreal tournament with my friends and my dad.

Don't record if you don't have idea for your channel. It's your project.

Goat simulator of course :P

Or maybe some roguelikes? Rogue legacy is awesome and I've been playing some Hero Siege recently.

Here are a few tips, most of which involve patience:

  • Slow down and think! What is going to be the theme of your channel? If you don't know, wait until you do know, then follow your format.
  • Don't be in a rush to "put something up" if there isn't anything ready to go up. Once people abandon your channel due to low-quality, they won't come back.
  • Give yourself enough time to record and edit whatever videos you put up. You may end up needing to re-record or otherwise "fix" something.
  • Space out your uploads. You don't need to upload everything all at once, and it is better to "space them out" so that they appear regularly.
  • Be prepared for negative feedback and/or trolling. Just focus on the nice and helpful people and continue trying to improve your channel.

I'd have to check your library to make a decent recommendation but I'm too lazy so I'll just recommend that you pick a game that's at least farily well known but doesn't get a lot of LP loving...maybe something like Lifeless Planet, Pineview Drive (though you may want to wait for a facecam for that), Super Meatboy, Broforce/Expendabros (Expendabros is free if you don't have it), maybe Pinball, Papo & Yo...

You should play republic commando, i know a lot of people that would like to see it played recently. The game has aged quite well, also top down strategy games are quite popular.

I think I would only be able to play the first one, since my PC isn't good to record the other two. However, I don't own it.

  • Hotline Miami - sounds great, I've been thinking about it
  • Shadow Warrior - My PC won't be able to record it without frame rate issues
  • Binding Of Isaac - Great suggestion! Thank you very much! However, it sometimes slows down on my PC, I don't know why.

How about some good old jRPG? Everybody owns/played atleast one of them... you can get a ton of footage and a good base of regular viewers.

Please, don't join this FaceCam bullshit.

I went through your gaming list. First off. You monster. Play Half-Life 2.
Uh let's see. I hear the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games are pretty damn good. So maybe give those games a whirl. Accordingly the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games are really good according to the steam gifts community. So maybe play those. Pid's a nice platformer puzzle game with very pleasing music and aesthetics. There's GTA 4 and the GTA 4 Episodes, those are a lot of fun. I recommend giving those a try. Also use a xbox controller if you can, that's just my personal preference for the GTA games. I don't really like SuperBrothers: Sword and Sworcery. But the game was pleasing enough and the music and some of the art design is nice. Metro 2033 and Last Cause 2. Shadow Warrior and Monoco are good times. Definitely play Monoco with friends though, good times to be had there if you can. I'd suggest playing each of the maps in Contagion for a short gameplay series with your friends, that'd be a fun short episodic recording. Um, then deadlight, Bioshock. I played Little Inferno, that was fun. A lot of people are into Broforce right now, so maybe that one. Then there's Skyrim, that might get a bit lengthy, but if you desire. Also then there's Hitman: Absolution. Love that game. Thennn, Sniper Elite V2, Hotline Miami, Max Payne 3, and Serious Sam 3 with friends.

GLHF

Edit: Also Mini Ninjas :U

If the viewers see that you're enjoying a specific game that makes you happy, I think they'll be too.

And if you're saying that you'll be getting a camera, then I suggest playing some bloody horror games, I know I would watch em...Mm-mm blood...

I didn't recommend ETS2 because like. That would be stupidly boring to watch someone just drive a truck. I'd rather just play the game myself. Unless you want to do a lot of voice over talking about your personal life and making stories to talk about. Avoid that game like the plague. That's probably best for someone who can do a lot of improv stuff.

Watch your own videos. If they look interesting enough that you'd watch them then upload them, if they bore you then you need to improve them.
Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl with ZoA. [Preferable if the game was non steam, this is for your own good trust me. If you have any interest in modding it you will find out why]
