I recommend Defender's Quest, and Sol Survivor. If you have friends with it the latter is great for co-op.

IMO, Defense Grid is the best TD game, i have gold in the main campaing and soon ill try gold in all DLCs, love this game!

Prime World : Defenders is very good

If you also like action games, i would suggest Orcs must die, dungeon defenders and Sanctum.

Revenge of the Titans is also good.

Also Ibomber defense series.

Sanctum is great, avoid Tower Wars ..

Defense Grid was the game that showed me that I could like a tower defense game. All of the other ones seem pretty dull, but something about that one was a ton of fun. Dungeon Defenders is also a lot of fun with co-op, but that's because it also scratches the looting itch.

Orcs Must Die (1 and 2) and Defender's Quest are great, I recommend them. OMD2 is also a lot of fun to play with a friend.

Defender's Quest is a pretty good TD game. Also, Cursed Treasure is excellent (and completely free!) TD, it was actually the game that got me into the genre :)

My point, before you ask, is that people should use search, at least sometimes.

Sanctum is unique, and there are plenty of fun free flash TD games, such as Kingdom Rush, Symbiosis, or Incursion.

Dungeon Defenders which is action TD (really nice, though amount of dlcs is incredible) and of course Sanctum 1 or 2.

Some tower defense games I'm aware of are Defenders of Ardania, Go Home Dinosaurs, Tower Wars, Unstoppable Gorg, Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten, Fieldrunners 2, iBomber Defense, iBomber Defense Pacific, Super Sanctum TD, Prime World: Defenders, Revenge of the Titans, Shad'O, System Protocol One and Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate. It's another story which ones are good though. Some good flash TD's are Cursed Treasure: Don't Touch My Gems, Cursed Treasure: Level Pack and Protector.

I don't consider Dungeon Defenders, Orcs Must Die, Sanctum, Plants vs. Zombies or Sol Survivor to be real TD games.

Orcs Must Die, Sanctum, Revenge of The Titans, Unstoppable Zorg, Anomaly and Sol Survivor are all pretty good. They all have varying styles to them, several quite different from the usual TDs.

I cannot find any good tower defense games, other than Dungeon Defenders but it's not reeaally a TD. WC3 had many that I adored, question are there still plenty of people and games on WC3? I would love to return for some Wintermaul, TDs, DotA, and Angel Arena... Also all the other great unmentioned maps.

Revenge of the Titans is really fun.
