You could try Sony Vegas. I'm using Blender. It's for 3D modeling, but it have nice video editor and it's completely free. For Vegas you have to pay. Even for Blender you have to see tutorials for transitions and other on You Tube. It's not easy to use, but it's not that complicated. Hope i helped :)

Vegas is a pretty solid tool if you want to take the time to learn some of it's more advanced features. Camtasia is a much more basic tool for just on-the-fly editing if you don't want to get too fancy. But generally you can't go wrong with Windows Movie Maker for something that's actually free for a super casual project if it's just for a video among friends and family.

I use Premiere myself, but Final Cut Pro is obviously great for macs. Pretty much every non-linear editing software offers a free trial, so check a few out and see what you like.

Hello!
I've been asked to make a video presentation for a wedding, with photos, videos, text… well, the classic video presentation for weddings and parties. I want to make a good video, with nice transitions and good effects, no just a simple video done in 5 min with Media Maker.
Can anyone recommend me a good software for this? Thanks!
