Downloading games from Steam problem

View>Settings>Downloads>Download Region

Change that to your country or the nearest.

You may have to add steam to the exception list in your firewall!
I had problems when I switched to Comodo...

Check your download location, it may not be at the nearest server to you. Also, a while ago I couldn't download anything because the download speed was really slow... But it turned out it was an issue with my hard drive. But if you can download without any problem on Origin, you shouldn't worry about that.

Not steam the problem is on your end since I was downloading at 1mb/sec without problem a while ago.

I think Origin's stats are fake, I downloaded Titanfall very fast but when I checked my folder's size, it differed from what it should have been

First point out the obvious ones:
Steam->Settings->Downloads->Download Region
Steam->Settings->Downloads->Download Restrictions

Also, it could be a router setting, but it's inconvinient that it limits only Steams connection plus when there's nothing with a higher priority.

Now, If you can download from other sources with higher speed and the Steam & router settings are okay it seems like the problem ain't on your side.

Maybe because Russia also occupied Ukraine's Steam servers :P (OP is from Ukraine)
