I've opened a support ticket over three weeks ago for a giveaway I did, asking for a redraw/check on a winner who hadn't activated wins before.
Until now the "winner" marked the game as not received as Steamgifts support didn't reply to me yet.
What's your experience with the support's time to reply on your tickets? ...and a belated happy new year to you all!

Closed some 10 months old support tickets the last days. Was fun to see that I reported some users for bad behaviour and insults but noone reacted. Having the same problem like you atm and I will see how long it take. They are doing a good job sometimes, but sometimes not. So I must say it depends on what problem you have. There is no general reaction time.

I recently went through my old (still active) support tickets and closed a bunch of 4 year old reports since some of the people being reported have been permanently suspended by now

The system can't bunch up reports against the same person - open ticket doesn't mean they didn't get suspended. I even had open ticket for permasuspended users

I think it really depends on your problem. In my cases, I've only had winners asking for a reroll and I included screenshots of our conversations so it was probably a clear cut easy solution, got a reroll after a week

My ticket "Delete Giveaway" created more than 2 weeks ago. Still pending :(

Better then me it least, i had a ticket pending for over a year asking them to add the SA/UAE region lock.
If i didn't bother finding a moderator post in the discussions that ticket would still be pending today xD

You need to make the ticket in "Request New Winner", if you want to request a new winner

Semi-related - I had a dude enter two giveaways for the same game that both only had him as the entry. After winning both, he requested a reroll, which can't happen because there's nobody in either giveaway to reroll to, so I put a ticket in about a week ago as "Delete Giveaway" with a random sub-category because none of them were applicable, with an explanation in the description.

Should I remake that as a "Request New Winner", or leave the "Delete Giveaway" one?

You did it correctly, it's just that deletion tickets have been a bit neglected recently because we were trying to catch up with the backlog of rerolls from the holidays (from 900 pending to 300 currently), but we'll get to them soon

Sorry to piggyback, but I have an open ticket to delete a giveaway because there were only two entries and both asked for a reroll. What is the correct way to categorize that? I'm sure I got it wrong and would like to resolve it within the window of the week after the giveaway ended if possible. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! To request a new winner I have to select from the options why I do that request. Non of those is fitting and, I don't want to do the user wrong, if the not activated gifts thing has been solved. "The moderators are aware, why i haven't activated the games. Please do your job (=send me the key) and not the moderator. Thank you"
I'm not aware why they are not activated and therefore ask you if this was solved? That's it. Alternatively (and after this reply) I'd have gone for a redraw but don't want to do wrong.

If the user has already served the suspension for not activating games or multiple wins, the support will inform you and then you will have to gift the game to the winner even if he has not activated some wins previously, otherwise you will be granted a reroll. There's an exception - if the user did not activate wins CURRENT month, a reroll will be granted even if he served the suspension.

And what do you mean by saying "none" of the options when requesting a new winner are fitting? "Regifted or did not activate previous wins" seems to fit your case perfectly.

"Regifted or did not activate previous wins this month" is what is says, was not that month. Therefore I chose "other". But as TemepeteJoachim explained patiently to me, that's why the ticket got backlogged. I'll go with the re-roll and hope to get another user a belated Christmas gift.

"This month" is misleading. It is just for the occasions I mentioned in my comment - if user broke the rules this month but already served his suspension, you will still get reroll. You should pick this option even if offence was more than a month ago and mods will suspend the player and grant you reroll if user hasn't been punished yet.

"This month" is misleading.

That is an understatement. They refuse to see how the wording, which is irrelevant to the front-facing user, only discourages reporting.

Yeah, they definetely could remove that part. I know some people thought their "Request a new winner" might be turned down because infractions were over a month ago.

If they were already suspended for it, we'll simply tell you about it and close the ticket, nothing bad will happen to the winner.
"Other" tickets are too backlogged and often time-consuming to answer, but reroll tickets are what we do the most. And since we would have to ask you to create a second ticket anyway to actually perform the reroll if needed, it's always better to directly submit a request new winner ticket if there's any concern with the winner.

do your job (=send me the key)

And don't worry about marked "Not recieved" - comment

If your re-roll request gets denied, then you should send the game to the winner, who would then need to mark it as received (or they would risk a permanent suspension for misuse of giveaway feedback).

For a re-roll possibly a few days right now. Any user reports you can forget about though. I still have numerous tickets open that are almost 2 years old. I stopped submitting them a long time ago given just how futile it was/is.

Depends on the type of the ticket. For example, I'm still waiting for 4,5 days for a reroll, but it's kinda normal to wait for around a week for a reroll. About reporting other users, me and a friend reported a guy in the past for calling out other people. I put the ticket in the "Other' category and he put the ticket in the "User Report" category. So, we're waiting to see who'll get an answer first. XD More than 3 months have passed and still no answer. We mostly did it in order to check if the support checks these ticket categories at all and, if they do, which category gets checked faster. But, usually, they never get resolved, even after years, as you can also see in the answers above.

As others said before me, it depends on who has to deal with your ticket, which depends on what the ticket is about. Reroll requests are usually answered quickly (hours to a few days). If yours is 3 weeks old, it probably got burried, you could bump it by adding a comment to it.
Tickets that can be answered by cg only can wait a bit longer. For example, I have one which is still pending, I'm going to wish it a happy 2 years birthday next month :)
