I played just demo of Freespace 2 and loved it. I am big fan of space combat, and will probably check videos when I get off work.

it's good to revisit it, because they'e finished the SCP mod :) and remade both FS2 AND FS:TGW for it. TGW looks especially nice. It's not Star Citizen, but the game looks fairly well and works perfectly on a variety of system configs

I've played them soon after release too! I had both in those big square boxes, with jewel cases inside and fat manuals... ahhhh that makes me feel way too nostalgic...

you still have them? Damn. I've lost most of my stuff, including Freespace 1+2 addons and the beautiful "papyrus" Baldur's Gate 2 map, aside from CDs, Descent 3's manual, Homeworld Cataclysm book and Baldur's Gate 2 manual/book... my collection was impressive, now I have to satisfy myself with digital versions

I kept about 25 'old' boxes and between 50-60 DVD cases, though nowadays I buy most games in digital form. Only very rarely do I still buy the retail version of a game... and then only if I really like some off the physical stuff that's in it.
The other old(er) stuff I either lost over the years and or they broke or I discarded them to clear space.

I've got plenty of DVD cases (almost 200). It's the giant boxes I miss :( today's Collector's Edition is often old nomal edition

I placed most game DVDs in thinner cases for 4 of them, to save space. Those I still have, mostly came with some kind of 'over-box'. Sorry don't know what to call them in english, I'm not a native speaker.
Yes, things like maps and printed manuals (which had way more than 8 pages) sadly now qualify as collector material :-(

I'm not a native English speaker either :P it's just a bigger box. Yeah, things like maps etc are so rare these days I actually have a shelf for books/artbooks and the two maps I got "recently" (Skyrim and Dark Souls 2) I put into a clip frame and hanged on my wall.

Hi there
Freespace: The Great War and Freespace 2 are two of my favourite childhood games. I couldn't help myself and do a walkthrough for both of them. While I've completed The Great War a long time ago, I'm still getting through recording Freespace 2. So to motivate myself to find time, with Steamgifts' Support blessing, I'm shamelessly promoting myself by making giveaways.
While the Freespace:TGW videos were semi-silent (I'd talk all about the mission between the briefing and the mission itself), the whole shtick of Freespace 2 videos is me giving voice to the otherwise silent Alpha 1. I am in no way a voice actor, and I have an accent, but I thought that might be an unusual way to do things :P
One for each video, and I'll be posting videos every couple of days. While most of these are Humble leftovers, towards the end I'll give some better titles, and also Freespace: The Great War and Freespace 2 copies (7th or 8th of May. )
