I agree with previous comments, the entire Monkey Island series is a must <3 The Longest Journey can get pretty engaging too.
I know it doesn't qualify as "Great animation" since it's super old, but if you can get past the pixel art look, Day of the Tentacle is pretty fun.

Tiny Band Story is also great its adventure but it mostly plays like hidden object game.
Windosill is also another different adventure game its really short but its a great game.

So I bought the Pendulo Adventure Pack this summer sale, and I really really liked Yesterday and The Next Big Thing, I haven't played the Runaway series yet though.
So now that I have played those, I really want to play games like them. I like those type of point-and-click adventures, because it has such great animation and voice acting that it is like playing a long movie or something.
Are there some other good developers/games out there that have great animation, voices, and stories?
