Happy new year everybody!!!

I was really close to signing up for the humble monthly. 20 minutes before the timer reached zero, I had a last minute moment of doubt, but did not sign up. I thought / hoped that they might give a great set of games to celebrate the new year, but didn't dare to take the subscription leap.
Looking at the previous months I was not impressed by the collection of games because I owned most of the games in the bundles.

I am not sorry for not joining this month, because the set of games is not exceptional to kick-off the year.
What do you think of the Humble Monthly up until now?

Humble Monthly disappoints?

Humble Monthly are good for new Steam users - people with just a few games in their library. So far all games featured has been really good quality. But at the other hand so far almost all games seen multiple big sales and most of the collectors already own most of them. It's the same for me - so far I was missing just 1-2 games per bundle - so it's not for me and I'm not buying monthlies - but it doesn't mean games are dissapointing - i simply own too many games to blindly buying so expensive bundle.

I was really disappointed so far, but I sold my Rust key at ebay and so my lose wasnt that high as for others... And with the games from december I had some good stuff for christmas giveaways. This time they mailed me that they have problems with my credit card (again), but this time I dont care about. If I get the games its okay, if not - wayne!

Trash. It is trash. There is one game in there that I would pay the pricetag of the bundle for, and all the others I would pick up in a $1/BTA tier of another bundle with better stuff alongside it. I own Talos already, and only The Masterplan (owned) and A Fistful of Gun look like games I'd actually play. I'll probably boot Spelunky to die a couple times, but I loathe Doublecharge Fine and Talos has been so cheap in the past it's not even funny. It's even bundled, so there goes recouping the misfortune of getting games I don't want with some CV.

Talos Principle is really good game, but due to recent stackable AlienWare coupon and 75% discount (and smaller price in UE2 for ROW gifts) most of the people that REALLY wanted it have it already.

It's good game, but Triple-AAA that they promised it isn't for me. Specially when It's was 2,5€ with coupon for some...

Right, I totally forgot about this.

Also - dick move to tease people with Alien: Isolation graphic and then to tell that it will be bonus for next month bundle.

Yeah. However, despite being good, it's neither an AAA game or a truly premium game; it's a high (some would say over) priced indie that has been drastically discounted. I would even write it off as just not my taste... except it's been bundled before.

Personally, I've found the 3 monthly bundles to be pretty awesome so far. From a trader's/gifter's perspective, the value inherent in the bundles has been unreal, and I've been able to acquire a good handful of games that have been at the top of my wishlist either directly from the bundles or as a result of the trades I've been able to make with the games I already have or am not interested in. As a big proponent of DRM-Free gaming, I've also been highly pleased with the amount of DRM-Free titles they have included thus far.

Exactly. I kept very few games because most were not my cup of tea, but I managed to trade some for other games or TF2/CSGO keys to get stuff I really wanted. It takes time and efforts to make it worth it, but it does pay off.

I've had no issues with the bundles. The first two I think I redeemed like half of each bundle so pretty good in my book. I hooked my friend up with my extras and he was happy too. This month wasn't great for me since I owned it all but one. Still my friend got hooked up with some good stuff no doesn't really bother me much.

I wish I had subscribed for the Jan bundle. I am sorta enticed to go without food and buy into Feb with the offer of Alien Isolation, but I would still want the season pass/ dlc. (assuming the season pass content is worth it) These games without the additional content seems to be the case with several of these IE Saints Row. I'd prefer less games in favor of games which had everything included. I haven't seen any Feb predictions yet... If someone were to per-purchase the Feb bundle with the Alien Isolation offer, could still all be refunded if the Alien Key isn't revealed?

I think it could be refunded but can't say for sure as it is entirely up to HB's discretion
