I have a Samsung galaxy S2 and i didnt customize any of those things, it works perfectly and the batterly lasts about 5 or 6 days. (i rarely use it for games, maybe 30 minutes or 1 hour a day)

Atom launcher is my favorite right now.

I have a HTC Sensation XE with AOKP custom rom.
I use the Nova launcher wich, in my opinion, is the best.

You can try go launcher + go locker if you want something highly customizable. I used them a lot, but the phone had an awkward lag, so I uninstalled them. Now I use Nova launcher prime, which is incredibly fast. Don't use spb shell 3d though. It sucks.

Apex Launcher or, a new one I found that isn't all that well known, Lightning Launcher. Lightning Launcher is pretty different, as it gives you infinite space to put icons and widgets and what-not. Try them both, as well as other launcher suggested here, and pick your favorite.

I always used ADW Launcher, but since there were no updates for a long time, i switched to Nova Launcher. Now ADW received an update and both are great imho. If you want to change your lockscreen you will need Widgetlocker ( which is great, too) or a custom rom (which is great, too :P)

I use Apex and also have Nova. I think both require ICS or above. They look very similar to the stock Android launcher but they have a lot of extra features and you can customize them if you want it to look different from stock. The features of Nova and Apex are very similar. There are paid versions to unlock more features. Both have been on sale for really cheap in the past.

My favorite one is HTC Sense, but you cant download it you just need HTC device as it's entire framework not only launcher.

Definitely Apex is the best on ICS or above. Apex has the same features as Nova Prime and the paid version of Apex has even more features so its the best launcher to use.

I need launchers that aren't on the play store.
