Probably Asperger... You know, it's kind of "funny" cause personally I know there's a lot of times when I might look like a total asshole, I can be very insensitive sometimes, and I can have a very dark sense of humor and I'm grumpy and I'm a misanthrope, blah, blah, etc. whatever. But even a "moron" like me is getting really tired of people making fun of other people with Asperger/Autism or similar conditions on the internet, it's not f**king funny.

The "level" and kind of Asperger is not the same for everybody, there's HUGE differences between one person and other, there's people with Asperger that are pretty much like any regular person, they talk like regular people, they can do the same things, etc. Many of them don't even know they have Asperger, or they find out when they're grown adults already, married with children and living their life normally. But then we have the other side of the coin, people with Asperger that can't easily fit in society, people who acts, thinks, talks, etc. Very differently and even awkwardly, basically Asperger can go wherever from "very subtle" to "severe autism" and of course there's middle points too, it's a condition very difficult to fully understand (if not impossible) I know because I've met several individuals with this condition.

I was under the impression that asperger in itself is at the high-functioning spectrum of autism, thus it cannot be severe? Ofc you have met more aspergers so you would know better. The ones I have met have been unpleasant company for me personally, but still high-functioning.

Even if he is genuinely mentally challenged, he evidently doesn't have the means or the knowledge to complete the project.

Spreading this is a bad idea. Anybody who throws a dollar at this just because they think it's funny is going to be promoting something really bad for kickstarter. Potato salad was amusing, but still a dreadful premise. Once some truly devoted trolls grasp the idea, things are going to go downhill fast.
