Its board game. Pretty fun when you get used to randomness. Each action has at least 1/6 chance to fail. Except running short distance maybe... Far from enemies.

Good God, it took 1000 hours of your life to realize you don't enjoy the game you're playing?

I don't think I've ever played a game for that many hours; nevermind a game that I don't even consider "good".

I've topped out at about 100 hours. That was Oblivion, and I never even got around to finishing it or trying the expansions. After 100 hours, I just decided I was done. I'd had enough of psychic guards, auto-leveling mobs, and the asinine leveling system in that game.

Shivering Isles add-on is the best part of Oblivion (and imho all other Elder Scrolls titles).

I kind of intended to go back to it eventually, but I gave the game to a friend ages ago. Maybe I'll grab a Steam copy eventually. I've still got my saves, and I always kind of regret all of the content I didn't do. But I've also got a ton of games that I haven't touched yet, and I'm only about 30 hours into Skyrim. Returning to Oblivion would feel like moving in the wrong direction in regards to my backlog.

Then pack yourself, and go over GoG. for real. They are essentially syphoning my money away, all the old classics - Neverwinter night, Baldur's gate and things like that - go for mostly 2 $. That's cheap even when compared to the summer sale (at least for ppl in EU: GoG's price stays in $, while steam: $=Eu. I know it's the VAT, but still pains me )

Do you have Bulletstorm and Rage?
If you don't have any of them, then that is what you gotta spend your keys on! Fantastic shooters.

Here's what I can recommend:

  • Half-Life Complete Pack (wait until it's $10)
  • BioShock (the first one is great, Infinite is okay)
  • Portal
  • System Shock 2 and Deus Ex (Not sure if you're into old games, though.)
