Invite a friend to play a game Quest

Does the friend actually have to join the game? The task is very vague...

If there is a invite to game option then Im sure CSGO will work. I tried at home with TF2 on two computers and tried "invite to lobby" as it says, but no invite was sent. When I selected invite to game it worked fine.

You can do it with free game "Business Tour - Board Game with Online Multiplayer". Just download it (it's less than 100mb) and in game open Steam overlay, click on a friend (doesn't have to be online) and "invite to play remote play together". Worked for me.

I think the wording on this task is wrong - they are pushing a lot of their new features with these tasks, so it makes more sense that they intended for it to be "Remote Play Together" instead of "invite to lobby".

yeah normal invite didnt work but remote play did

Failed with CS:GO, but succeeded with L4D2. :)

CS series not work
Red Risk (I think own ~80-90% SG userd) work. Press "Remote Play Together" (Must be enabled in Steam-client options).

Didn't work with Path of Exile or Borderlands 2. Had to install Business Tour as suggested to make it work.
