There was/is a Website that was Giving out dota 2 keys for South East Asia and they gave out quite a few and also dota 2 gave a lot of extra gifts to people who have used keys to activate their dota 2 copies to share around .

Sorry if I'm not supposed to ask this here, but I really truly am wondering. Are there some contests people can signup for, or is it just random? The only place I'm familiar with is the playdota forum.
Also, if there are, you guys mind listing them so I could try my luck? I'm not really a huge fan but a friend is, and his birthday is coming up, so it would be cool for him if I got lucky (not a subtle beg, so don't even go there).
EDIT: Thanks for the answers. I got a few possible new sources, so if I'm really lucky, I might make my friend happy. I'm gonna have to be really lucky, though.
