I turned in my first 7 coals and all I ended up with was a coupon for 50% off Lego Batman. I didn't own most of the games and I did every achievement that I could. After getting the coupon as a prize I'm going to just not participate in any more of the gifts. All I seem to get is coupons and coal, no thank you Steam.

JA2 is one of my favorite games. Ever. Get the community 1.13 patch though.
It's quite difficult, but very deep. You will not win on your first try. In fact, without cheats, I don't think I've ever won. But it's also possible to win really quickly without doing all the missions since you can kill the main target at any time, and she's only human. One thing I've heard of but not done myself is intentionally getting yourself locked up in the prison so that she interrogates you. Make sure you set a mine outside the prison and when she walks out... boom, you win! :D (It's more difficult than it sounds, since the prison sector is pretty far from the starting sector and the guys outside of it are well-armed and you need a reliable explosives guy to set the mine.)

As turn-based strategy games go, imho, it's one of the best. Very boring to watch someone play it, but pretty engrossing if you find out it's your kind of game. And you'll learn all about many different real-world gun types and ammo... :P

(Also, if there's a guy on a rooftop, you have to press Tab or something to bring the target cursor up a story-level to hit him. That messed up a lot of people on the demo long ago.)

Also also, I have almost no interest in the new one... I'm afraid of the new one.

Also also also, call your CC company. Unless you actually ran out of cash or hit the limit and don't have a stable income that they're aware of, they should resolve the issue pretty fast. :-\

I would've been happy to get that game. Hell - I was happy I got Red Faction, a very cheap game I had, because it was simply a game. Then I traded it for RUSH. I'm just grateful I got something that wasn't coal or a meh coupon for once.

Feel free to raffle it off here if you don't want it. JA2 is a great game if you ask me, made even greater with the 1.13 mod/patch. The amount of depth and detail involved is remarkable whether it's the ridiculous number of guns (http://ja2v113.pbworks.com/List%20of%20Weapons) and equipment, the strategic elements in training the natives/coordinating a multi-team attack on a sector/etc., the way your mercenaries interact with each other and so on. Helps too that the 1.13 config editor can change just about every parameter of the game if something's bothering you (like speeding up turns for giant battles of 60+ people).

JA2 is one of the best strategy games of all time. Be glad you didn't get Bad Rats. I actually paid real person money for JA2 (with the Disciples II pack) this sale. It will be the third time I've bought JA2. That's how good it is.
