Planning to buy next month: http://www.excaliberpc.com/615926/asus-n56vz-ds71-15.6-notebook.html

Asus N56VZ. Will play some of the games, I hope that video card will be as good they are in the tests.

Does someone else is waiting for this one? I heard that it will have this Ivy Bridge or something like that, but not a clue what it really will do to performance.

So will it be good gaming and working laptop? I plan to work with it for 4years+

One of things what I want to do. My Dell Studio 17** with 17' is too big for me and want to play some games on better graphics.

Without checking the link, I can tell you in my experience that Asus laptops are good at being silent and cool, while others like HP tend to be the other way ;)

Edit: It is a pretty decent laptop, check also notebookcheck.net to check their reviews, I used the website to see what they say about my Asus, pretty good info, also use this link if you want to compare graphic cards

Thanks. I used notebookcheck to see how good is the video card. Also didn't know about silent.

For me Silence is a very important part in Gaming laptops or any laptop, I remember having a Toshiba, and it was so annoying hearing the fan when playing games, I had a decision between to buy a HP with a better Graphic Card, or an Asus that had a bit lesser Graphic card but it works silently and cool, so I did the right choice with the Asus ^^

I have that one.

Excellent gaming laptop, though sometimes games don't recognize the geforce card and defaults to the intel on board card. Usually fixable in the setup of the games.

I hope that I will not have this problem. Maybe that problem is for old games?

I've had it about a month now and it has happened in X3: terran conflict and Sims 3. Other games like Skyrim and the Witcher did not have those problems.

It's probably a driver problem at ASUS' end. I've heard about this problem concerning other ASUS laptops too, but cannot verify if it is true though.

But overall I'm very satisfied with my laptop.

All you have to do is go into the geforce config and change it.It's more annoying than a problem really.
