Something similar happened to me: I had Metro 2033 activated on my account, but was able to register a Metro 2033 key from the facebook giveaway (and it started downloading additional 35 MB).

I was going through activating some new bundles and realised, as I did it, that I just activated Nuclear Dawn on my account - but I already owned that game so I'm not sure why Steam let me do it (all other games said "You already own this!" when I tried).
Anyone know what's special about this game and what it may have added? (which is the only reason I can assume it activated).
