Is it good? How long does it last?

On my wishlist, it seems to be the only game that can be played on my potato PC. I would love to play VC4 but I don't know if it can run in intel 3570K with onboard video or not. And the price....... Goddamn it. Even the first one wasn't so expensive.

It's fairly short. The main story can be completed in under 10 hours. But most levels are randomly generated and you unlock stuff through continued play.

The tactical aspects are it's greatest strength. Stealth and technology are favored over brute force. At the current price it's definitely worth picking up. And yes, get the Contingency Plan too.

Yes, fun game with some replayability to it. 4.99 is a historical low too.

Into the Breach should run fine as well (from your wishlist).
Invisible Inc for $5? Yes, worth it if you enjoy stealth over slaughter.

Hey hey, the game seems to be 7.5 hours long if you're going to focus on the main story, 20 hours if you're going to do the side stuff as well, and a whopping 60.5 hours if you want to do everything. For reference see the HLTB link: https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=18228

I always use HLTB to see how long a game is before buying or getting into it, you can also use the site to show the length of all your games through this link : https://howlongtobeat.com/steam.php

I find HLTB estimates are often set by crazy speed runners, and thus have no relation on how long it would actually take me to play through a game - I mean, who plays an RPG or open-world game without doing a single side-quest or optional activity? - but in this case the estimates seem pretty accurate.

I also find https://astats.astats.nl/astats/FindGame.php to be a really good tool to estimate playtime, and since it's based off the time to get achievements rather than self-reported times, I find it generally more accurate than HLTB.

For example, for Just Cause 3 Astats has 22.5 hours for just the story, 40 hours for story + side quests, and 69 hours for 100%, which is a lot more like my own experience than HLTB's 17, 32.5, and 56 hours respectively.

Likewise, for Saints Row IV Astats gives 16, 30, and 60.7 hours for main story, story + sidequests, and 100%, compared to HLTB's 15, 23.5, and 35 hours. The Astats time matches closely with my own 33 hour playtime for story + sidequests, while HLTB's estimates are way too short.

I generally finish the same times set on HLTB though , If I'm over the time it's because I left the game open by accident while I wasn't actively playing or if I was playing on the hardest difficulty and died a lot XD

I fill in the playtimes for the Playing Appreciated group (0-20 games every day depending on how (un)luckly I am, averaging probably 2-4 a day Edit: just as I have been writing this comment I have been informed there is over 300 games involving PA set to end on the 10th of January, just kill me now) + I have finished 221 games this year myself so I have a decent amount of experience when talking about playtime data and all I can say is that Astats data tends to be a hell of a lot more wrong than HLTB one from my experience. The only game in recent times that I remember taking longer to 100% that what HLTB said it was Sleeping Dogs (also took longer than what Astats says and Astats also says the story takes 21,9 hours to complete which might be true if you accidentally leave the game open for a night). Everything else I have actually played myself had been either around or lower than HLTB said. It might just be that we have a very different approach when it comes to playing games, who knows.

Wow, that's a lot of games!

I have noticed that almost every game where I compare my playtime to HLTB's, I'm way over the average. I feel like the Main Story time is all but useless for RPG and open-world games, who really plays such games without deviating at all from the main story? My own Sleeping Dogs playtime is 31 hours, and that's for Main + Extras, so the Astats time is a lot closer to how long it took me.

Sometimes I manage to beat the HLTB time - like on some point & click adventure games or first person shooters - but other times the HLTB time is so out of proportion it's ridiculous. Take a kinetic VN I played this year - it's linear, with no alternate routes, and yet the HLTB time is 1/4 of my time. Now, I may not be the fastest reader, but there's no way that average came from anyone who actually bothered to read it.

But it may also be due to playstyle differences. I tend to take my time and savor each game - fully explore each area, stop to enjoy beautiful scenery, read lore books, etc. When I played Dishonored, I went for a non-lethal, never spotted playthrough because it felt like how the game was meant to be played and was more fun - and that's automatically going to put me way behind everyone who went in guns blazing.

I agree, I also find the times on HLTB completely off. I'm actually genuinely surprised to hear that some people finished their games within the time estimated by HLTB O.o

While I love HLTB, but I don't think it's as useful with games that are meant to be replayable. Invisible Inc. is basically a tactical rogue-lite (procedural generation, permadeath, many characters with different skills...) and it encourages the player to beat it multiple times.

But in other cases, I agree - HLTB helped me many times when dealing with backlog.

VC4 is not going to run well on integrated graphics. Even Borderlands 2 isn't playable on integrated graphics, and that came out 6 years ago.

The price for VC4 is actually rather low, considering the game just came out. Keep in mind that the PC release of VC came out 6 years after it came out on console, thus the low price.

As for Invisible Inc., I haven't played it myself but everything I've heard about it has been really good. If you're looking for a strategy game to play, it seems like a really good choice.

If you like tactical games and you are sure that it'll run on your PC - go for it. You can beat a single playthrough in a couple of hours, but it's not meant to be played just one time (also - good luck on beating on your first try). The story is pretty basic, but I think Klei really nailed the stealth-focused gameplay. And if I remember correctly, there is not a single "dice roll" mechanism in the game (like chance to hit for example).

great game. it has a lot of replay value if you want to try harder difficulty settings, unlock everything and play with all the characters.
it also has custom difficulty options so you can try different set ups.

it will run fine in old pcs or laptops.

Klei pack was the 1st I bought for my Steam account. I do not regret it. They make a lot of good games and Invisible Inc is certainly one of them. I haven't played it because I am bad with backlogs but certainly a recommend. ^__^
