Has anyone found or come up with a way to mark a large number of games as "Not Interested"?

I'd like to mark whole genres or tags or developers, but can't seem to find a way to do it.

For example: mark all games valve shows under FPS, or with a tag of "cute", or from a dev "Capcom"

I know these games would still show up if I used the search feature, but at least they wouldn't clog up the opening store page.

I'm using the v2 script in firefox with greasemonkey, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

I've edited the unwantedGames variable to only include Horror and JRPG. The first item in my discovery queue is a JRPG tagged game but nothing is happening. I've restarted firefox, disabled and re-enabled greasemonkey and the script itself.

It is an old script so I wouldn't be surprised if changes to steam had broken it, but going from your other comments in this thread it seems to be working fro you.

Yes, it is working for me still. I have no idea what can be the problem, I hope the author responds you.

Are you using chrome or firefox. If it's firefox would you mind sharing your working script?

Opera, so Chrome engine (Blink). But here is the script anyway:

Edit: sigh Cannot put it in code because markdown is too simple for that.

Thanks but it's not working for me. Fingers crossed maestroit has a working version up his sleeve.

Good idea.
I'd like a way of marking something as owned already.

I have some games on Android or non-DRM versions and don't want to mark the games as not-interested as that is going to give the devs false feedback and likely affect the games that are suggested to me.

Would you really rule out whole genres or publishers, or even worse, tags (which are often used ironically - expect the "cute" one to show up on Doom's page at some point)?

I would.

I have no interest in MMOs or F2P games. And there are scammy and scummy devs who I would never buy a product from.

Yes, there is a chance I could miss out on some great game by doing this, but I am ok with that. It would mean a cleaner front page that helps me find a whole lot more games I might like.

Thinking about it, a filter for F2P and MMOs would be tempting. :)

The plug-in I linked was a life-saver for me in this regard. No more zombies, sports, survival, FPS, MMO, MOBA, F2P, racing, platformers, dating sims, rogue-likes, and another five or so tags that immediately makes me skip a game.

I'll take a look. The thing is I am a curious type and I'm a bit wary of blocking out entire categories. For example, I have an allergy to RPGs but I am quite enjoying the South Park game, or I don't play dating sims but I like to know that Hatoful Boyfriend exists. Know what I mean?

Well, unless you use the automatically go to the next item option, you can overwrite the plug-in's choice any time.
Plus, let's be honest, this is more like a personal list of games to not really look out for. All it does in practise is that it removes uninterested titles from the main page carousel.

Fair enough. If it only really affects the main page there's no harm done.

Maybe make some macro that runs all day long and picks 'not interested' if certain terms are found ?:)

See above the post by talgaby, there is a tool, not sure how well it works, I havent tried it yet.

Unless it gets stuck, it works well. It added over 2000 games on my not interested list on an afternoon, just running casually in the background. It needed some micro-management though.
Since then I disabled the auto-next part and use it as a quick check on games I click from SG. If it hits a tag I don't want, it marks the game automatically and I know I can hide it here as well.

I'd love to mark all games that requires VR as "not interested".
