I do not get why people even try doing that.. all the person that is doing the giveaway has to do is look at the site real quick and find out who it is that won IF the time is up.

Not allowed nor reasonable, whatsoever. Someone flat-out demanding a key as this guy did is rude as all hell, sure (and I'd also do a re-roll request with screenshots added to show how enormously rude this person was), but simply the act of contacting the maker of a giveaway (for arguments' sake let's say politely) resulting in getting your win re-rolled? Ridiculous. I have added people I have won stuff from before also, when I saw they had many other giveaways running / ending around the same time, purely to save them the trouble of having to find me on Steam, or e-mail me a gift.. In other words, to make the process easier for them. Not to act entitled and douche-y.

I was referring to the person contacting me before the contest was up like the OP post was stating. If someone claimed to have won before the contest was up then it's clear that they're just trying to scam me. I wouldn't give someone like that a free game.

The screenshot is not evidence. Valve knows how easily it could be faked.
The screenshot is only to help Valve find that chat in their own logs. Once they find the chat lot, they can read the entire chat.

Yeah, Valve doesn't give two shits about SteamGifts and wouldn't do anything about it. If what the OP says is true, the second half of the chat really doesn't show any proof that he claimed he won it.
I'm kinda confused as to how he managed to copy and paste the whole thing, yet is only able to screenshot the last half. Maybe he was so excited about someone trying to scam him that he started to make the thread before the conversation even ended.

Please do something about this. Even one of these members is a problem. This isn't a court of law that requires proof beyond any reasonable doubt. If the guy has a justifiable problem with the result, I'm sure he'll have a convincing argument.
