Ridiculous? How long? Forever of course. It isn't ridiculous, it's just to filter leechers, get them away. It's the way a contributor gets credit, not extra points, but a way of having more chances of winning for contributing.

And do you really not expect the flood of gifts to plateau? I don't expect the feature to be removed, but I also don't expect giveaways to continue to move this rapidly. Things will slow, then... SUMMER SALE!
