Official statement from developer about this promotion on reddit:

Race the Sun developer here! It's true, the game's completely free for a day.
Why are we doing it? We just launched the game on iOS, and earlier this week we released a $1.99 DLC. We'd like to raise the general profile of the game, grow our audience, and maybe sell a few cross-promoted iOS/DLC copies if people love what they're playing.
It's pretty much as simple as that! Hope you enjoy it.

So is it free for keeping or free to try for 24 hours? (Like Payday that we got to keep) I am asking because I already owned the game, and it would be weird if I already got the game long ago and now it's free. What about the cards for it? Will they still drop?
