Ironman. For several stated reasons posted by users before me.

Batman

There are only 3 ways Batman will win:

1. PIS; or
2. Batman gets the jump on Tony Stark (yes the man, not Iron Man), and handles him before he gets to his suit; or
3. Batman has prep time to come up with something before encountering Iron Man. And even then, Iron Man would need to be clueless about the upcoming encounter with Batman. Otherwise, if both have prep-time, Iron-Man still stomps.

Maybe Ironman - but this would not be an interesting fight like Ironman / Batman vs Magneto.

Batman is a joke compared to the firepower of Ironman. One beam from the chest super mega hyper laser and Alfred Pennyworth would have to find a new job.

But being the coward he is Batman would probably hide in sewers, in which case Tony Stark could just hire and arm a private military to dig batman out, call the Avengers OR just nuke the sh*t out of Gotham.

They are both smart, but Batman is clever and is always prepared. If Iron Man existed in the Batman universe, Batman would surely have a clever plan for dealing with him in case he turned evil, just like Batman has plans for dealing with Superman.

Batman is intelligente and with some electrical stuff can knock down iron man because the suite has power sistem :)

Ironman's strength comes from suit, when Batman has skills. Both are intelligent guys and brilliant inventors, but i think Batman would be first who would invent something anti-ironman. If I could compare this fight to chess game I would bet on Batman.

Edit: I remember one animation movie wih Justice League, where Batman has plan how to take down each member of League, just in case.

Two brilliant superheros like that wouldn't ever fight.

Batman in his fifties with a heart condition actually did beat superman so i guess this answers the question about ironman.

depends on how good the bat suit is... since we know wayne has built iron man styles powered armour costumes... OTOH extremis makes it very unlikely stark will get cought on the hop

Batman - he already has plans to stop every hero in case they run amok (can't remember the name of the animated movie, where those plans get stolen from the bat cave and are used against the Justice League).
