I enter priority on the giveaways I want to win

Not sure why people would want enter for games they don't want to win...

Only ones I want to win. The simple reason for me is that I would find it unfair to enter and win something I was never going to play, thus taking the chance from someone else.

The ones i want.

Everything I might want potentially, or that look OK but I have no idea what it is.

I only enter for games I want. I'd like to think there aren't people who enter giveaways for games they know they'll never play :/

Why should you enter giveaways for games you don't want? That sounds like a huge waste of time for me...

If you win you get a game you don't want, whats the point? xD

I browse the forum regularly, create giveaways occasionally and don't enter giveaways.

you boil some water, then place a net over it, then finally, put your gifts on top of the net

I only enter for those I want, but when I was new I entered everything just to see if I would eventaully win anything. I think that is the case with most new user, as they want to assure themself that it is possible to win something here.

It seems the consensus is 'Why would anyone enter a giveaway they don't want'.
you'd be surprised, if not then explain the sheer amount of entries for every giveaway, even the bad ones.

I assume there is a portion of the population out there that are just entering for whatever is ending next to maximize thier chances of winning, or maybe there are people entering every giveaway with low points, or maybe there are some collectors who don't care about the game other than the fact that they don't have it. Who knows?

I enter onyl giveaways i really need... I have no luck for it... i know if i enter to bundle giveaway i have win this in +- 50 enter but i nop need it.

I mostly join what i actually wanna play but often i aswell join other games just for the Collection

i mostly enter $500+ CV giveaways and forum/group ones. occasionally something with lower/no CV, probably Wishlist games like that

My first go-to is actually the amount of entries so far.
I might want to play Bioshock Infinite, but I find it a waste of points when there's 5000 other entries in there.
I'd rather enter 3 200-entry giveaways for indie games I'd enjoy slightly less and have a larger chance of winning.

I only enter giveaways for games I DON'T want because I hate myself.

I go for games I want, or games I know I'll actually play... But only if I have a fair chance of winning. I mostly enter private or group giveaways.

I've only entered for games I've wanted to play. If you're entering GA's for games you have no intentions for playing, you're just taking away more chances for people who legitimately want to play the game.

And if it's just to level up your steam account.... in all reality what is that going to get you? Five second happiness? Maybe a few minutes? It's not like your steam level is anything tangible.

Of course, I think differently than some people.

And I thought this was a thread about steaming gifts... ;-)

And people who enter giveaways they don't want to win are... <censored>. Because they potentially take it away from people who'd actually play that game.

That said, of course I only enter when I want to win/play. Not having won anything yet doesn't make this any better :D Of course, I haven't even enter 100 giveaways, so... ;)
