How the hell do I get cards to drop in DOTA?

DOTA is the one game I was going to just idle out since I don't really enjoy playing it, and I left it in textmode all night and got no cards at all.

It's actually not even in my list of badges/card sets to earn. What gives?

You needed to have premium for Dota before the trading card started.

You haven't bought anything from the Dota 2 store, thus you are not eligible for card drops.

But even if he does he still won't get card drops. You have to have bought something from the store before the card beta started.

You need to have spent money in the Dota store to get cards. Same with TF2

TF2 gives you 5 card drop limit if you were premium before the Steam Card beta. With 1 more drop per 9$ spent. Same as dota2

Yes. To be considered premium (to drop cards) you Either must've bought TF2 before F2P or bought something from ingame store (MannCo Store in TF2 and Dota Store in Dota2)

I'm pretty sure if you buy a weapon or something from tf2 store now to go premium, you don't get card drops

You're wrong. You can buy anything from the store and you get card drops in TF2. But this doesn't work with dota2.

I just upgraded my tf2 to premium last night and I've gotten 4/5 of the card drops so far, so you don't need to have had premium for tf2 before the beta to get cards.

Lies my alt that i gave upgrade to premium gets card drops in tf2. I never bought anything from the store with that account. My guess is it just has to be premium.

Only way is to pay 9$ for 1 card drop. It's impossible to get card drops in dota2 if you didn't bought anything before the card beta started.

You can maybe craft the badge if you get the cards from someone else. Maybe someone tried that and could confirm? (I wasn't premium before the beta either)

Unless you really need something from the store, it's not worth spending $9 on stuff just to get a card drop.
