I recall reading a few pages of a sci-fi/cyberpunk comic where the main character went in to a bar and killed some guy, if I recall correctly. It had japanese themes, think there was another scene with a geisha or something. Can't remember the comic's name... Seemed really interesting, but I forgot to put the name into my to-read list :/

Main character had a katana, if I recall correctly. And a gun. I am aware that this may be a very vague/generic description, but I really can't recall much else, other than me enjoying the few pages I read.

Two questions

1: Print or Web?
2: Did the author have the very annoying habit of replacing every instance of "fuck" with "frak"?

Think it was print, but I read the few pages from a website. And I don't remember about the frak part.

Then it's definitely too vague for my knowledge. Sounds Shadowrun-based, if not inspired, but just about any cyberpunk comic follows those tropes. Here's the webcomic I found with a little Google-fu, just in case: http://www.webtoons.com/en/sf/cyberbunk/list?title_no=466

Not it, sadly. But thanks for trying to help! I'll probably find it eventually accidentally :P

It does sound very shadow runny with a street samurai...

Any more information at all? Year you read it? Publisher?

On current info I don't think Shadowrun is a bad guess at all, especially if it was read late 80's/90's? That sounds like a decent time to be immersed in the books that would supplement the game.

An additional wildcard guess would be a Blade Runner based comic, but the katana might not fit so well, but Asian style, guns and cyberpunk do.

The artstyle was very modern. I read the few pages last year, but I'm unsure when the comic itself was released, or who published it.

It also wasn't very dark. It was quite bright, unlike what I'd expect Shadowrun or Blade Runner to be. I recall seeing a quite bright panel, very white with a pink cherry blossom tree.

Was it a manga rather than a comic? That opens up a world of possibilities.

Was a comic. In colour. Not a manga.

Try r/tipofmytongue? Your description is really, really vague. I'd have gone with Shadowrun as well, it's a very close guess to your description.

Yeah, I'm a bit bad at describing this sort of thing. Thanks for recommending that, though!

Or this

Could you describe the character/abilities and or weapons, comic or manga?

It's probably not this, but I would HIGHLY recommend Kabuki by David Mack.
