I have been enjoying it. Even if I have rage quit a couple of times.

This was my main game for a while back in 2008. I beat it twice. Well, technically once. The second time I beat the main boss and went through the door to the victory sequence I had a sticky bomb stuck to my shoe, so I exploded offscreen and it counted as a defeat :P
I love this game

I'm playing as well. But since there is a controller support problem, i'm waiting for a fix. PLaying with keyboard isn't so fun.

I have it on my Xbox, it came out along time ago on there so I have beat it, loved it though

I play the Xbox version a lot, but haven't picked up the Steam version yet because I'm short on cash rn / want to buy Guacamelee first.

I played the original a lot so I went to go check my stats 540 deaths and 2 wins! I bought the new version on 360 a few months ago because I couldn't wait anymore for the PC release. Haven't played it as much as I should have, because I really love Spelunky.

I played the Xbox demo about a year ago. It was pretty fun. I was going to buy it until I encountered the ghost that chases you and insta-kills you if you stick around too long in an area. It kinda put me off since I like taking my time discovering/collecting things, but I guess I'll buy it if there's a sale on Steam.

"A terrible chill runs down your spine."
I panic and run into spike traps/enemies whenever this happens even though he wouldn't appear yet, it really adds lots of tension and anxiety to the game and is a huge part of its difficulty (otherwise some newbie could just take his time, take all of the loot and kill all enemies without any kind of pressure, too easy..)
I believe there was a mod that removes the ghost from the original version, but where's the fun in that?

I understand, I felt tension avoiding the ghost at all costs on numerous occasions. I usually take my time exploring a game when I first play so I'd probably look for that mod, but would turn it back off whenever I'm looking for a real challenge. I'll give the game another go if there's a sale, regardless of the ghost being in it.

As a huge fan of the original version, I'm loving the HD edition so far. It's a whole new game with tons of new content and challenges. I might sink even more into this masterpiece than in Binding of Isaac (and it's a lot more ragequit-inducing/harder to survive, even in the first levels..)
