I'm looking for a turn based RPG to play and can't made up my mind between these 3 games.

I'm looking for something like Front Mission 4; a game which I have a fond memory of. I Also enjoyed Disgaea, FF tactics, and Fire Emblem.

Or probably SG can recommend me something similar?

Well it's an old game :P.
Old fans of the game probably have it on CD-Rom, like I do :D.
It's one of my favourite games ever!

It's an issue with this game, for some reason the app ID of the game on the store is a different ID than what you get when purchasing the game, so it's not possible to leave a review for example, and it will show that none of your friend own this game (it's still on my wishlist even though I bought it)

Thanks for this information, Its like Arma 2 I purchased from some guy here on steamtrades and its app id 33910 published by 505Games is different from US store app id 33900 published by Bohemia Interactive, Although steam store page of 33910 redirects to 33900 it's still a mess and stuck in my wishlist forever.

Store page is bugged. Multiple app ID's for the same game. Even if you own it, the page wont show that you do. So that may be related.

EDIT: Ninja'd by 3 seconds.

JA2 is one of THE go-to classics. I bought it on CD back in the day, bought it again on GOG, bought two gift copies. Gotta make sure I'm never without it (or Startopia, or Severence) \:3/

Although I enjoyed XCOM:EU a lot (I couldn't fnish it because my computer died :() and I thingk it's a GREAT GAME... I voted for Wasteland 2. The 2nd part of Wasteland, the post apocaliptic cult game that led to Fallout... Wow!

The things I've seen about Hard West seems ok and good, but between XCOM2 and Wasteland2 I think you can't miss.

I actually enjoyed the first xcom too. Part of me is telling that I should wait for the complete edition for xcom 2. But I've waited pretty long and now that the base game hit an all time low.

Skip Link if it comes across your radar, it is a somewhat flawed title.

Hard West has a nice (bit cliche) story and is very humorous from time to time. Xcom is good if you played the first one so you will recognize characters (mods highly recommended). I don't know much about wasteland

XCOM is not an RPG, it is a tactical game, simple as that. And emphasis on "simple", since barely third of the original's mechanics seemed to have made into the remakes.
Still, it is probably the longest one.

Wasteland 2 is a great game, but be ready to be a little overwhelmed. It really followed the old Wasteland/Fallout 1-2 route and doesn't really tell you anything and lets you discover the game, its world, its mechanics, and everything yourself.

Have no experience in Hard West, albeit it looks like another strictly level-based tactical commando-like game, not an RPG. It is on my watch list though, and I constantly hope every month that it will be included in a Humble Monthly.

97% chances to hit with shotgun a dude that its right in front of your character.
Missed!

Had this happen 4 turns in a row. Yes, the character was specialized in shotguns.

Shitty RNG with chance-based rulesets are always a thing. This is what is sometimes impossible to get through new players of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, who think because something has a first-person viewpoint and guns, it is suddenly Call of Duty. but you have the other end, critting headshots with 1-5% chance from the other end of the map. The first XCOM remake even has some achievement for it, and it is relatively common.

Got introduced to fallout thanks to the third instalment. I remembered the confusion and desperation I felt when I fought the first rat outside Vault 13. The classics are gems, you get used to it, sadly nowadays target market doesnt have the patience for it.
Nothing beats the original XCOM. Punched the wall next to the pc so hard on one occasion, it cracked a little bit.

(Fifth instalment, strictly speaking. It is one of those franchises where numbering makes no sense.)

You bring up good point about RPG.

I'm actually looking for skill progression & customization. I assume it still exists in xcom 2?

Yep. Even more than in XCOM 1. Character skills are a thing, although IMO loadout is still way too simplistic and rigid compared to the originals. Winning will depend a lot more on your tactical and commanding skills (plus an assload of luck, because in this revised world, people apparently never invented smokescreens).

I think you are just trying to get justification to get XCOM2. Don't. It is a good game, with all its shortcomings, so if you want to get it, just do. Unless you are someone who isn't cut out for tactical combat games at all, you will enjoy it. I just have a simple aversion to this series because every time I played it, I just had an urge to reinstall the old ones. :) But that's just me.

The customization options are great in XCOM 2, especially if you have all the DLC as well. You can really make your characters look like you want (although a bit more hair styles would have been nice). But as talgaby alreayd said, the loadout is still too simplistic. One of the DLC adds a couple new weapons, which are pretty cool. But other then that, there is not really any choice in what weapons you want them to use. It would have been nice if there were a couple choices per weapon type, all with advantages and disadvantages.

I've been thinking about picking up Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut, and I got a question.
In combat, do you take turns to move your character, do you move it freely or you dont even move it?
Does it play more like a traditional turn-based rpg (aka FFX) or like the sorts of Disgaea?

You take turns.

It's more like ff tactics IMO

Every character gets two action points, which can be used in a variety of ways. So, it is very turn-based, very traditional.

If you choose XCOM2, you can buy it on BundleStars (with voucher Wintersale10, Deluxe Edition is at 26€), or like I did, on GamersGate (23.40€, but you might get a manual verification).
