I'd recommend checking out Squarespace [ https://www.squarespace.com/ ]. It's worth spending a little bit to have someone else worry about the technical side of your website so you can spend that time focusing on content.
Wordpress isn't a bad platform, but plugins and themes regularly have security issues. If you go that route, remember to make regular backups on the small chance your website is defaced or deleted.
