Will you get the game if you only buy one of the old XCOM game?

I'm not the hero you deserve, but I'm the hero you need right now.

I haven't gotten anything for buying XCOM and Terror from the Deep (yet). That said, they're listed on the page where it says 'buy any game'.

I was more disappointed that the games didn't give Steam codes. My fault for not reading carefully :(

Same happened some time ago when they gave Mafia II, ppl just bought the cheapest eligible thing to get it, which were the old XCOM games. They send me another 20% disscount code: UKFEB20OFF seems this is for Europeans.

Duke Nukem Forever cost like 3,5€ in physical stores, I'm sure it's Steam redeemable. At least in Spain.

Will I be able to activate Spec Ops if the game is region-locked in my area? (the Steam store page shows the "Ooops error" message)

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not available game in your region not always means region-locked. For games like Street Fighter series, some countries can't buy it, but can get it via key/trade/gift activate and play it, but I know nothing about how is for Spec Ops The Line.

Don't worry about it, OP says you will have it within 10 days. They did this kind of deal a few months back too - I got Mafia II this way. Just wait, it should be fine.

They've also done it with Fuel and (I think) Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit although I didn't buy anything in those promotions.

Not sure what to get. Got quite a lot of the choices already so it would probably be XCOM Declassified: The Bureau or The Darkness II if getting something I kind of wanted. Or I could just choose whatever is cheapest.

I was trying to purchase XCOM: Enforcer and it showed me this:

Sorry, your order cannot be placed. For further assistance, contact GameFly Support.

Now, after some tries I can't even go to the gamefly site. It shows me "Access Denied". Is there anyone with the same problem?

I got the same message when I tried to buy games there for the first time.
I contacted them, and then they replied that they needed to check my identification on the telephone.

After verifying identification, I've never had any problem though.

Edit: Well, I don't know anything about "Access Denied" message. I'm talking about "Sorry, blablabla" part.

After that i asked for refund. They still pretended to misread my ticket. On the third day i just copy pasted and sent them 5 tickets. At last they gave my money back. Clients like theirs won't work on the university network anyway.
