you can buy it from steam and have to activated it over thesims.com or thesims3.com then you can download it in origin(allways even without steam) but if you download it from origin you need do deinstall all steam versions and download all from origin. you can NOT buy it from origin and use it in steam. my wife buys alot in steam and uses it in origin. sims is just better there and faster wit the update. edit: do not activate it in origin! that will not work it has to be thesims.com or thesims3.com(not sure if it makes a differenz). if you have problems or the key does not work call free fon at origin dont send a ticket. sometimes we had it with the vication addon key has problems and origin gave us a new one.
