Phone for my brother, yes or no?

Get him a tablet instead,as it is for games only it will have bigger screen and your parents wont care since its not a phone.

of course you're to blame. you're the one who is considering buying a smartphone to a 10-year-old without your parents' permission for 10 f*cking bucks. he needs a smart brother rather than a smartphone.

Buy him this instead.

Buy him a PSP or a 3DS or something.

If he's really set on getting a smart phone, just get him a iPod touch.

imo he would be far better off with and android pad

as he can game on that and he can do other things including reading a book

but then again when i was 10 all we had for gadgets was a nintendo or sega lol none of the crap they have access to now

the only pad we had was the gym floor type lol

and if you get in trouble you have to decide if it is worth the hassle

get him a psp or a nds/3ds (with hacked battery or pirate cart)

With 10 years old, no. Or he will get brainwashed too soon.
He wont use it only for videogames. That's how people start, then he will use it for more stuff...
Take it and bring him to teather or zoo and have a nice share moment with him. That's my advice.
