no, games from other regions cant be activated (steam will say something about regions during activating)
if u activate game - its your - play it free

strange, i try to do same with other region key and region gift, but see same message and it dont allow me to activate

no idea, but witcher should be the same. maybe available languages are limited?

There is a curator group which lists all games that have in some form or another been censored.

Most are those damn anime games but I found it fairly helpful for the other games.
It tells you what has been censored as well

Can somebody explain how region restrictions work on Steam? I won Witcher 2 off discord yesterday but it said it was the Russian edition yet still let me activate it even though I live in North America. Can people in North America activate any key? Also on a similar note what would happen if I moved countries? Would the games I already have be suddenly restricted?
