30 people get 3 free games? Why not 90 people get 1 free? That sounds so much more fair... doesn't it?

who cares, you have to be one of those rich millionaire kid bastards that have over 2k games and like 666 steam profile levels to get those free games, which again is fucking pointless because they could just buy what ever the fuck they want and probably have spent thousands on those stupid cards to craft stupid badges.

You don't. Just have to be lucky on the winning team

Exactly - you just need to be in the winning team and must have contributed something that day.

Wrong!
The contest rules state that the 30 users are selected at random, meaning the amount of badges you craft or the amount of money you spend doesn't matter.

What? No...

I'm pretty sure that if you contribute 1 point to the team-thing, you get the same chance at winning as those that contributed 100 points.

I don't think it's tied to your steam level, how many games you own or even how much points you contributed to your team's victory. All that matters is that you're in the winning team at the end of the day and crafted at least one badge. But yeah, how many steam accounts are there? The chances that you meet the conditions above and get lucky are close to zero, no matter if it's 30 or 90 people who win.

Or sell some of your many cards and buy the ones needed to create a single badge.

Well... This is my question too. The chance is too low to win anything. And if i get it right, if the first day, your team wins, the next day you must craft a badge again to have a chance to win games, right? So unfair.:/

it's like playing lottery. Just that a badge costs you less than a lottery ticket. But then of course half a million in cash is also a much nicer prize than 3 games. The chances to win either are both very small.

SSsh! Don't make those people that are crafting badges like crazy realize how much the cards' prices have gone up since yesterday so we can still sell them that high!

The cards are selling instantly so we won't have a shortage of buyers...

You wouldn't even win if they give free games to 90 ppl every day

30 people from those who gave at least one point to the team the day they won, so it's not that bad chance.
