Crysis is pretty cool, the second one's map ain't as cool as the First one's, but it's still a good game and can't judge the 3rd one.

It isn't first-person, but that doesn't make Just Cause 2 any less awesome. Typically cheap as hell and free multiplayer mod to boot.

Far Cry 1 is nothing like Far Cry 3, and in the state it is in on Steam, you are probably better off avoiding it. It seems as if the enemies can see and shoot you through walls, and they do a lot of damage. It also has absolutely nothing to do with Far Cry 2 (with the exception of the name), and likely by extension Far Cry 3 (which I have yet to play). I have heard that before the final patch it was playable and enjoyable, but they screwed something up in that last patch, and never went back to fix it. I played through it with cheat codes, and you will not be missing anything, if you ask me.

I know people really loved the first one, just my experience with it was so bad, I don't understand it. What I faced was essentially unplayable (without cheating). The story was pretty cheesy too.

It really is amazing, I have it tied with 3 personally though, both offer something I like, both are great, 2 also had great elements, some I wish they left for 3...

It was very frustrating but certain elements really should have been put into 3, weapons failing while in battle was very tense and little details like shooting a crate of ammo would spark up and the bullets would hit and kill enemies. Fires were handled better, the world seemed less streamlined and path filled, it was more dense also, all in all 3 was the better game but some elements from 2 I hope they put in 4.

Just Cause 2? It's entirely a different style of game, and it's a third person shooter... But basically, you shoot people and blow up stuff on a tropical island.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Farcry 1 and 2, Borderlands 1 and 2, if you don't mind not using guns i would recommend Skyrim and maybe Morrowind and Daggerfall but i never played those 2 so not sure about them, i would like to recommend more but open world FPS are like kinda new stuff.

Watch dogs. I am feeling like I am playing a bad version of Far Cry 3 :P You will find here the bandid camps, radio towers, side quests, open world - everything is similiar except you do not hunt animals, but some bad guys. The same goes for Assasins Creed 3 (which has animals).

Assassins Creed 4 is actually so damn similar to Far Cry 3 that you would think it was almost reskinned as a third person game...Never played 3 though, Watch Dogs is similar though you are right.
Ubisoft seems to have found a flow and now uses it on every game they make...I loved Far Cry 3 so much that I cant totally hate this though....

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with Far Cry 1. It's got nothing, but go to places, shoot people, thats it. Enemies know where you all the time.

I typically don't play FPS's. But the giantbomb quick look of FarCry 3 made me want to play it and I loved the game. Can you guys recommend me any more FarCry 3 type games. Basically any Open World First Person Shooters.
I already played Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon.
I intend on getting both Farcry 1 and 2 from gog.com eventually.
