So, after buying it and Groupees saying "Steam Key coming soon", now I need to install Desura and install the game and register all to be sent the Steam Key they already said was coming?

After some thought, I think they are gonna use an automatic system that will distribute steam keys(in-game?) on people who has opened their online account for the game. The dev said that you can still get a steam key even you didn't install it and register an account by emailing them

No, everyone will get a key, that's not a requirement for Groupee folks.

Figured the situation was a bit odd, and they have good support over at Groupees :) No harm in asking them!

Second update:
There will be a way for everyone interested to get a Steam key. Aside from automatically providing the key to players who have registered inside the game, we will also add a tool on our website where users could enter their current CD key and get a Steam key emailed to them.

As the game was greenlited and many of you may never heard about it, I'm sharing this deal!
There is two nice quotes I'll leave with you about the steam release.
